1. Use the pliers to cut 2 x 40cm pieces of armature wire. Bend into ear shapes and attach these to the metal hoop. Use the pliers to squeeze the wire firmly onto the hoop.

2. Cut a 4m length of macramé cord. Fold in half and attach in the centre at the bottom of the metal hoop using a cow hitch knot. Learn how to tie a cow hitch knot here.

3. Take the right hand cord and fold up under the metal hoop as shown.

4. Fold it over the metal hoop and down through the loop you have just created.

5. Pull it tight to secure firmly onto the hoop.

6. Take the right hand cord again and this time bring it up over the top of the metal hoop as shown.

7. Fold it back behind the hoop and down through the loop you have just created.

8. Pull tight to secure it firmly in place.

9. Using only the right hand cord, continue to tie this pattern (from step 3 to step 8) until you reach the top of the metal hoop. Tie around the ears. Don’t worry if there’s armature wire showing.

Perfect for hanging on your front door!

10. Take the left hand cord and use the same knot technique to cover the metal hoop, working in the other direction.

11. Once you get to the top, tie a simple knot using both cords. Take both cords in your hand and tie a knot at the top to create a hanger.

12. Cut a 2.5m length of cord and fold so there is 15cm on the left hand side. Attach using a cow hitch knot to the right ear as shown.

13. Use the 15cm of cord to wrap and tie around the ear join, covering the armature wire. Trim any excess.

14. Use the rest of the cord to cover the ear, tying the same knot pattern used to cover the metal hoop.

15. Repeat steps 12-14 on the other ear so the complete frame is now covered. The base of your wreath is now complete!

16. Decorate your wreath frame using patty pans and pom poms to create bright flowers. Use tacky glue to fix them in place and allow to dry. Your Macramé Bunny Wreath is now ready to hang!
