Clinical Theatre The Clinical Theatre, programmed in association with The Clinical Pharmacy Congress, will this year provide a comprehensive clinical refresher programme covering therapy areas such oncology, coronary heart disease, hypertension, depression, alcohol dependency, asthma, COPD, dermatology and renal medicine. Medicines Optimisation Forum NEW This Forum will cover medicines safety, clinical effectiveness, prescribing and dispensing errors, outcome based prescribing, transfer of care, shared care services, basic health economics & value based pricing. Monday will see three clinical experts (respiratory, diabetes and cardiovascular) provide a set of ‘Case Series Reviews’ - a first - with audience participation.

The OTC Academy Sunday offers training modules covering topical therapy areas to help counter assistants (CA) offer better patient advice on OTC medicines and retail products. The afternoon’s workshop looks at the growing importance of the CA role within the pharmacy team. Patient Services Workshops NEW Monday will see a series of Patient Services Workshops delivered by Pharmacists who are successfully running services in their local community and want to share their knowledge and expertise.
