A little bit of Salesforce Terminology
An Object - this would be similar to an Excel tab. Are we looking at contacts? Are looking at onetime donations? Or are we looking at campaigns.
A Record - this is a single example of an object. Like in this case an Opportunity (donation) record for Mario James of $100 on May.13, 2022 A couple relics of Salesforce's Business model are seen here: Opportunities refer to anything that tracks revenue generating activities Stage refers to where in the "sales" cycle this revenue is ex. A one time donation can be pledged or closed won Close date - in this case it is the date that the money "came through". With online donations this will likely be synced to a fundraising platform and be instantaneous.
