It’s a lot of fun, so sign-up NOW to be involved! If you do not participate, at least go up to a Kiwanis member and thank them for all the help they have given us.

PROJECT JUMP START 11 members are spending time at 2 local day care facilities, most of them at least once a week. They are having fun working and playing with the children. We could use a couple more members to help. We particularly need them on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. If you might want to be part of this project, let us know at an upcoming lunchtime meeting.

SHINE DAYS To get into the holiday spirit, last Thursday we made wooden snowflake ornaments with the Special Day Class. How fun! Now let’s take a moment to thank Andy Gross for putting together these great projects. He is the Kiwanis member who helps us come up with such fun and creative things to do together. The next Shine Day will on Thursday, December 20th at lunchtime in the Library. We’ll be decorating “Gingerbread Trains” together. We’re also planning musical entertainment, hot apple cider, and more!

DOCTOR DOLLS This coming Friday is another Doctor Doll-making session. Our goal is to make 1000 dolls: can we do it? Let’s hope so. These dolls will help hospitalized children to be less scared of treatments and checkups. Let’s see if we can get a large crew of members in the Library this Friday!

X-MAS WRAPPING Each year, our help is needed in wrapping presents for the town’s X-Mas Make-A-Wish program. Some of our members showed up last Saturday to wrap…. But more members are needed on both Monday & Tuesday of this week! On both days, we’ve got a wrapping session from 3:30 to 5:30, right after school. Show up at 111 E. First St. (next to Papa’s Pizza).
