District Convention – March 2015 •
For the 2015 District convention • We took 42 members and 7 Kiwanis • It was a fun trip from start to finish. We even got a day in at Disneyland! • Some of our clubs and members even received honors on stage! • We got to cheer for our own retiring LTG, Thu Dang, as well as the newly installed Harlin Advincula.
Much of this year’s success can be attributed to the training received at DCON

Beach Clean-Up • It was a beautiful day in July. We spent it at Goat Rock. Had fun… and did a good deed, too!

CMN Work Session • We made non-skid socks, using puff paints on their soles. • These will be donated to the Oakland Children's Hospital.

We drove all the way to Sacramento Cleaned up their outside patio area Took a tour and Donated supplies and funds. It was a WONDERFUL joint project with our D32 Kiwanis!

We helped sell donation drawing tickets, and felt so welcomed by Kiwanis…. • But what we really enjoyed the most was doing our “It’s All About That Service” skit!

• We had a record number of 72 in attendance for a “grueling” 5 hours of intense training!

Awake-A-Thon
• Each attendee was asked to bring $25 as an entry fee. • We raised $1150 for the Pediatric Trauma Program cause!

Fall Rally
• Our purple and yellow dinos were out in force at this year's Fall Rally. • We donated $2756 to the Pediatric Trauma Program cause!

Christmas Cheer
• For the service activity at our December DCM we helped out with a project to give food, toys and other necessities to families in need
GOALS WE’VE ACHIEVED • In the past year, we donated the most funds to the Eliminate Project of any Region in the Cali-Nev-Ha District • In the first semester of the new Key Club year, we placed SECOND in the District with our service hours/member record • We have two clubs earning Diamond Distinguished status and one club earning Distinguished Club...... with three other clubs in the “running” for the prestigious Distinguished Club award
GOALS WE’VE ACHIEVED • We have an exemplary website, which provides a lot of useful information for our clubs. They are on the region website • Division 32 was one of the top divisions for PTP donations in the entire Cali-Nev-Ha District at the recent Fall Rally
GOALS WE’VE ACHIEVED • We have been working with a Lt. Governor and Division Leadership Team that has been OUTSTANDING • We had FOUR clubs turn in the dues in October, earning “Early Bird” status (patch for their banners) • We have a record number of EIGHT clubs that have turned in their MONTHLY REPORT FORMS ontime, all potentially earning “District Tree Awards” for their clubs (patch for their banners)
WE HAVE AN OUTSTANDING LTG
At the CNH Winter Board meeting, Harlin was recognized for having the MOST service hours out of ALL 72 Lt. Governors in the CNH District!

Our Kiwanis clubs and advisors provide the inspiration we need to keep going, the example we need to follow and the courage we need to assess our world through new eyes…ones that allow us to view service as a guiding principle and light in our lives!
OUR WISH LIST We have a few budgeting wishes: Please consider making an account for Key Club in your Kiwanis banking set-up….. (if it hasn’t already been done) • We still have are having some problems with clubs accessing funds from school accounts • Please encourage Key Club attendance at District Convention • ENCOURAGE your students to prioritize attending DCON • Prioritize funding the attendance of ALL newly elected officers AND a reasonable number of others who are interested, (especially any who are receiving recognition) •
• You may need to set aside $1000-$1500 just for DCON! • Don’t forget to prioritize sending one of your own Kiwanis members, too!
