On July 19th we will be creating craft gifts and toys for the Children’s Miracle Network. This will be a service day as well as a time to bond with your division and club! Again, try to get a Kiwanis adult to attend.

Kiwanis Family House About Us The Kiwanis Family House Mission: Our mission is to provide temporary housing and support to families of seriously ill or injured children and adults being treated at University of California Davis Medical Center, Sacramento. Our Vision is to continually provide convenient, restful, secure, and low cost accommodations for the families of patients being treated at the UCD Medical Center or at Shriners Hospital. Our Values are guided by the KIWANIS Service Motto: “Serving the Children of the World�.

Gather Items For The Kiwanis Family House -

You can drop these off when you come to the CMN work day or you can bring them the day of the Family House event. We will need items such as: bottled water, toilet bowl cleaner, disinfectant wipes, bleach, liquid dish soap, powdered laundry detergent, and automated dishwasher detergent. Ask your Kiwanis club to help collect items. Go to businesses in your community to ask for donations to buy these supplies. (A $10 donation from 10 different businesses will buy $100 in supplies!)

This event will be happening on the 25th of July. Get a Kiwanis member of two to attend!

Buy a Brick -
You can raise $100 and “buy a brick” for the courtyard. You can have it inscribed as being donated from your club and it will always be there to commemorate your generosity.
You can also honor someone you love, or thank someone you admire…. and your legacy will be there forever!

Attend a Kiwanis Meeting! -
Officers MUST attend three Kiwanis meetings a year! It may be difficult to do this during the school year, so the summer is the perfect time to attend one, or even better, two!

Hold a Board Meeting -

Having a board meeting during the summer can help you plan for the busy year ahead. This will help you be more organized when you have some of your activities for the year planned. You can discuss budget, member recruitment, fundraising for PTP, and member participation in division activities.

Write an Article For The Region Newsletter -
Take pictures of something fun that you did with your Key Club and write an article about it. Send some of the pictures and the article to Jessie at jessiejmarshall4824@gmail.com. Do this by the 14th of the month.

Attend 2-3 Service Events with 36 Members Each Time - You don’t even have to plan your own, just join in on the division activities! - AAR points are best earned by service activities, so make sure to do them!
