Confe erences and Conventions ICON- Intern national Conv vention; convention occurring in summer s that celebra ates the
accomplish hments Key C Club has achieved in n the last yea ar, and provides the members w with valuable re esources for th he next year. DCON- Disttrict Conventiion; convention n occurring in n spring that provides a ton of information n about Key C Club, leadership opportunitiess and ation of officer positions (celebra the past CN NH year). Thiss year’s convention n is in Sacram mento from April 8 8-10, 2016. RTC- Region n Training Conference; this event iis usually ber and serve es the in Septemb purpose of educating new members a about Key Clu ub in our Region. OTC- Office ers Training Conference; A conferen nce usually held d in April that trains all of the officers in our Reg gion about theirr positions and d how they can best serve theiir clubs.
Causes/Events/Extras PTP- Pediatric Trauma Program; A cause that we raise money for that goes into preventative measures to keep children safe from easily preventable accidents; and pays for doctor training and supplies in emergency rooms of children’s hospitals.
Circle K, Aktion Club, and Kiwanis. We are all part of this big family dedicated to service! The Kiwanis Club of Cloverdale is our adult sponsor club that gives us both financial and personal support.
Fall Rally North- In the month of October, a ton of Key Clubs get together at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to cheer and celebrate the money raised for PTP. This year’s event is on October 24th. K Family- The Kiwanis family is composed of several branches; K- Kids, Builders Club, Key Club,
MNT/ The Eliminate ProjectMNT= Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus; the Eliminate Project is the combined efforts of UNICEF and Kiwanis to rid the world of MNT. CMN- Children’s Miracle Network; these are hospitals that specialize in children’s medicine. We do many projects involving the Oakland Children’s Hospital, which is the closest CMN hospital to us.
MRF- Monthly Report Form; this is a document that the secretary is responsible for doing each month. It keeps track of EVERYTHING our club does, and records all of your service hours. (This is why sign-in sheets at events are so very important!) Board- These are our elected officers. In addition the Board has appointed “Executive Assistants” who can be any member. The Board meets twice a month at lunchtimes on Fridays. DLT- the Division Leadership Team; these are volunteer students who wish to be involved in planning division and region activities and projects. They meet once a month and usually have specialized duties. DCM- Division Council Meeting; this is a get-together of the clubs in the division, once a month. All members are welcome.
