They had a few members attend the division Beach Clean-Up. Piner- Three members are attending the DLT meetings. They are also planning a club rush. They have been attending division events. Unfinished Business  Division t-shirt- Lauren was awarded a ten dollar gift card to Cold Stone for her winning design. The t-shirts will be distributed at RTC in September. The registration for the event will include the cost of a t-shirt.  International Convention- A video was shown that was put together by Jessie Marshall. Montgomery and Cloverdale were Diamond Distinguished clubs. Lisset shared some of her favorite moments.  Beach Clean-Up- Daisy shared her favorite moments. We had about an hour of service per attending member.  Kiwanis Family House- On the 25th of July we are doing a joint trip to clean and donate and have a BBQ afterwards. Maggie shared more about what the Kiwanis Family House is all about. i. Cloverdale: With the assistance of their Kiwanis Club, they have raised about $850, so far, for the House. They plan on going together and leaving at 6 a.m. ii. Maria Carillo: Trying to set up rides and maybe have a bake sale to raise money. They have one member for sure, and two advisors. iii. Montgomery: Collecting supplies and riding together. Working on figuring out how many are going. iv. Piner: Collecting supplies and setting up rides. They have two members going. v. Santa Rosa: One member is going, and is collecting supplies. She is going with the Santa Rosa Kiwanis.  Division Newsletters- Everyone in attendance indicated that they were receiving it. Sue went over the website and showed many of the features of it. The

newsletter is put on the website if you do not receive it by e-mail. It comes out around the 1st of every month. i. For the website - You are required to look over the appropriate PowerPoint of officer training if you did not go to the April 25th event, and you are a club officer. Your Kiwanis Advisor should sit down with you to do a formal training from those materials. V.

New Business:  Plans for PTP Fundraising/Fall Rally- Division goal is for each club to take to Fall Rally a minimum of $250. i. There will be an Awake-A-Thon on the 9th of October. Details of the event will soon be shared. ii. What are our clubs doing for PTP? 1. Cloverdale: They are fundraising on Fridays at their town’s Friday Night Live event. They have set up a game and are asking local businesses for donations for prizes for the winners. 2. Maria Carrillo: They are still planning fundraisers. 3. Montgomery: Is still planning. 4. Piner: Is planning a bake sale in front of a G and G store. 5. Windsor: Is unsure what they will be doing.  Membership Recruitment for Back-To-Schooli. Cloverdale: They will be in the school orientation. They are having a Member Orientation event in September (ice cream social). ii. Maria Carrillo: They are starting planning. iii. Montgomery: They are doing a club rush and planning to go to middle schools and recruit members. They already did a middle school recruitment in the Spring. iv. Santa Rosa: They are planning club rush and Member Orientation (movie night). They are drawing up a form for members, to keep better club records.  Redwood Empire Food Bank- is the 22nd of August  Special Olympics in Napa- is the 29th of August.  Macy’s Shop for a Cause- the March of the Dimes is the cause, and they need volunteers. This is also on August 29th. i. Suggestion was for Sue to check in with the person coordinating at Macy’s to see if they might let us do Christmas wrapping as a holiday fundraising project.  Division Newsletter- Jessie and Sue need each club before the 13th of each month to do an in-depth report on one event. It can be a one paragraph submission. Jessie chooses the best three to send off to the district, for possible use in their monthly newsletter. Pictures are also VERY HELPFUL. By the 15th of each month Jessie also needs an in-depth Club Report. There needs to be picture, if possible. In a Club Report each month there needs to be an overview of what your club has been doing, highlighting more than one project, if possible. You also need to name a Member of the Month and an Officer of the Month and perhaps and adult you want to recognize.

AAR Recommendations for August- There was a flyer in the DCM packet and you can go to the division website and look at the PowerPoint for July and August. Check these regularly to remind yourself of things your club should be doing. Next DCM- Is on August 22nd at the Redwood Empire Food Bank from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fatima mentioned an event where we may set up a booth. She will bring flyers to the next DCM.
