Unfinished Business  Kiwanis Family House trip- Lisset made a video that we showed. Lisset also shared her experience and what a good time it was!  Member Recruitment for Back-to-School- Tejoni gave a presentation about an entirely new part of the website she created about membership recruitment. There are links to the CNH website and other helpful links on it. She has a section that says, “7 ways to get new members!” Make sure to read through it. It has a link to a brochure that you can use and a handout. Sue brought up that being very organized is important because it reflects well on your club. Membership recruitment is extremely important thing to work on right now.  Special Olympics in Napa – August 29th Maggie talked about how important it is to have Key Clubbers at these events. She said that they need people to work on skill computations and score keeping. This is pretty much an all day event.  Macy’s Shop for a Cause Day – August 29th. Maggie talked about how important this event is. She also explained that you only need to be there for two hours at a time. You can work more though. We need plenty of members to help with this project, some at BOTH Macy’s stores in Santa Rosa.

New Business:  Plans for PTP fundraising- Daniela explained what PTP is and how we can help. In the packets she gave some ideas like guessing computations, dine and donates, auctions, etc. There is a grant program that can help you spend PTP money. You can plan an actual event to do something like distribute helmets or blankets, train children in safety issues, and more. You must apply through your Kiwanis club. Contact Daniela for more information.
