• Despite it being the end of the school year, our members still were involved in Key Club service activities • The “Elemonate Challenge” was a fun way to raise money for the Eliminate Project • We continued our Disneyland drawing up until the Kiwanis Mother’s Day Breakfast • Another highlight of the month was Key Leader, where three members learned more about their personal leadership styles

• The major service project in June was the delivery of phone books to all of Cloverdale – approximately 3000 books, in all • We also helped with re-building Sonoma County through a visit to Habitat for Humanity • And, of course, we began making plans for a new year with our Save the Rain project

• Key Club International Convention was a highlight of July o We won SECOND PLACE in the Single Service Project Bronze Level – for our project to help the victims after the 2017 North Bay Fires

• We also delivered phonebooks, and picked up our Save the Rain efforts, as we began planning for a September “Save the Rain-Bow Color Run/Walk” • A really fun activity was volunteering at the Redwood Empire Food Bank

August

• The Save the Rain project was our biggest project during the month of August, with 21 members spending 65 hours in a variety of activities in preparation for our Color Blast fundraiser. • We met twice to make plans, created a video, set up a table in front of Ray’s, made the dyed cornstarch and more!

September

• Of course, the major service project of the month was our “Save the Rain-Bow Color Blast”. We made $1900 for the cause, and had a lot of fun, too! • We also did a number of smaller projects, such as helping at the Senior Center Pancake Breakfast, assisting with the town’s Car Show and serving at a Dinner in the Vineyards event.
