2. Attendance- see attached sign in sheet 3. The minutes from the previous Board meeting were dispensed with. 4. The Treasurer’s Report was dispensed with. 5. Unfinished Business a. Jefferson School Parent Night- Jessica and Omar will be attending the next Jefferson School Parent Night, which is next Tuesday, December 1st. b. November Shine Day- Was on Monday 23rd. We just did a get-together time, without a project. 6. New Business a. Builders Club donation- the club has decided to donate $50 to the Builders Clubbers for help with their yearly dues. i. Lillian moved that we donate $50 to the Builders Club to help pay their annual dues. Seconded. Passed. b. Secret Santa Pal project- Will be held on December 10th; sign-up sheets have been dispersed to Kiwanis and 25 of them want to do it. We’re not sure if we have enough members to be “pals” to all of them. Jessie agreed to do a “Good Morning” text tomorrow morning to encourage members to come to tomorrow’s meeting to sign up. In addition, some of our Board members are willing to be a “pal” to more than one Kiwanis member.

c. Kiwanis Bake Auction- We need to encourage members to make items for the event. Mrs. Cummins purchased some kits which she will share at Tuesday’s meeting. d. Kiwanis Crab Dinner- The event calls for at least 25 servers, and we will be emphasizing at tomorrow’s meeting how important it will be for our members to be there. e. Kiwanis Board meeting- Will be on the seventh of December. Lillian and Jessie agreed to go. f.

X-mas Make-A-Wish project- This project is when we buy gifts for kids that don’t get many presents at Christmas. i. Lillian moved that we spend up to $200 for the X-mas Make-A-Wish project. Seconded. Passed.

We agreed to go shopping on Wednesday, December 2nd

starting at 3:30 p.m. g. December club newsletter will be eliminated in favor of a January one- Paige is in charge of organizing the newsletter. Atzity is doing an article about the coat project. An article signup page was passed around. All articles due by the 22nd of December, e-mailed to both Paige and Mrs. Cummins. h. “Losing members”- We need to approach members that showed interest but then stopped showing up. Do more “fun” things. We decided to hold a Christmas party on the 9th of December, instead of a club meeting on the 8th. We’ll hold an “Ugly Christmas Sweater” contest; do a “Snowball Toss” and have a ham, scalloped potatoes, salad and pumpkin pie meal in room 5. i. Lillian moved that we spend up to $100 on the Christmas party. Seconded. Passed. i.

December calendar- Read and discussed. i. Lillian moved to approve the December calendar. Seconded. Passed.

Fundraising for DCON/Key Leader- We decided to do a “Finals Survival Kit”sale; will contains smarties, pencils, granola bars, flash cards, erasers, motivational quotes, and highlighters. We will charge about $2. We will set up in front of the office and the cafeteria at lunchtime on the Monday and Tuesday before Finals start. We will also sell Snack Zone packs in January.
