2. Attendance- see attached sign in sheet 3. The minutes from the previous Board meeting were read and approved. 4. The balance in the Treasurer’s Report was: $1,3068.12 5. Unfinished Business a. President goals- Jessie went over her goals for the year. See handout for specifics. b. Communication system- See handout for specific responsibilities. We’ll discuss this at another meeting, when we have more time. Basically, each member of the Board has assigned responsibilities. c. PTP Committee- Paige’s committee brainstormed fundraising ideas and decided to hold a Lap-a-Thon. d. Nepal speaker- Paige will be running the meeting on September 22nd, and will be inviting Interact to join us for a special speaker from Nepal. 6. New Business a. Orientation- Change location to cafeteria/gym or possibly Room 7. Mrs. Cummins will talk to people to get it set up. b. Appointment of Executive Assistants- Marty Beard i. Alayna moved that we approve Marty as an Executive Assistant and accept the pending applications of Carmen, Abigail and Dru. Seconded. Passed.

CNH|KEY CLUB c. Vice President- Lillian moved that we approve Helen Hernandez as a Vice President. Seconded. Passed. d. Saturday’s events- We will be attending the Senior Center Breakfast, and doing the Bratwurst booth at the Car Show. See sign-in sheets for specific students and their responsibilities, and shifts. e. Saturday, September 26th – We will have three events i. River clean-up- Clean up the river with the Interact Club.

We need more

assignments. It starts at 9 a.m. at the cemetery parking lot. ii. Havana Nights- The Arts Alliance is holding it; members will help primarily with registration, and the drawing. Members are needed from 4:30 p.m. on and are to show up at the Citrus Fair in dress clothes, preferably in black. iii. Day and Night Festival- Will be held in Santa Rosa. We are going to help Piner High School with a booth. Meet at CHS at 2 p.m. f.

Region Training Conference- 20+ members will be attending, see sign-up sheet for specifics. Possibly Jessica, Maggie and Lillian plan to ask their parents to drive members.

g. Next Board meeting – It will be on Thursday, September 24th in Room 5 at lunchtime. h. Coats for the Homeless project- We plan to donate coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, etc. It’s for homeless children in Lake County, primarily. Atziry is the Chair of this project. i.

Next month’s themed lunch- We decided that for next month that we should do a skeleton cake; Dru and Lillian will do. Possibility that Bailey will do a candy corn cake, too. This will be the first meeting of October; that’s October 6th.

Recruitment thoughts- Our starting numbers are low compared to other years; we’ll need to brainstorm at another meeting.
