Right now is the perfect time to do this! With all of the important events that are coming up so quickly, planning your upcoming Key Club year is the best way to stay on top of everything! Some discussion items: membership recruitment, a Member Orientation event, PTP fundraising, RTC, Awake-a-Thon, and Fall Rally. Having a meeting now allows you to get your officers back into the Key Club mindset!

Join in! • •
Each club should participate in three to five service projects a month. Service projects are one of the best ways to spend a weekend! They help your community, you make new friends and develop closer bonds with other Key Clubbers!

Attend these events; • The Kiwanis DCM held in Ukiah on September 5th (contact your Kiwanis club for transportation.) • Go to the Region Training Conference held at the Salvation Army Center on September 19th from 3:15 to 8:30 p.m. • Go to a Kiwanis meeting of your sponsoring club.

More About RTC • • •

All officers should attend. All active, and especially new members, should be encouraged to attend. It’s an event where everyone learns about Key Club service opportunities, how to apply for Key Club recognition, how to operate effective club fundraisers, and so much more! It will be a fun and informative evening. Apply to your Kiwanis club to pay the $12 registration fee…. and receive your division t-shirt as part of the registration costs. Finally, come find out about a special service project that we’re offering this year that may end up with you going to Africa next summer! Come be a “Superhero of Service” with us!

Take-over! • Plan a take-over of a Kiwanis club meeting. You provide the program and share some goals and ideas of your club for the upcoming month or year.

Fundraise! • Raise as much money as you can for the Pediatric Trauma Program, (PTP). Not only is it an amazing cause, but this money you can go with you to Fall Rally and you use it to bet on our LTG! • Try a bale sale. They are fun and easy to plan with relatively low cost!

Sign-Up! • Start advertising for Fall Rally and get your sign-ups under control. They must be mailed off by October 2nd (for the discounted price). • Doing this now will help you later because it can get wild if you wait till the last minute.

Newsletters •

Put together a club newsletter and have it at club rush to attract new students. This will help them understand what happens regularly during a Key Club month. Write an article for the Region 15 newsletter. Get the word out about how awesome your Key Club experience is!
