The opening discussion will feature Dr. Lesley Judd, ENMU Agriculture Professor at 3 p.m. March 24th in the McAlister Room. Dr. Judd will present “Improving Quality of Life Through Plants: Gardening and Food Production in Eastern New Mexico.” She will discuss easy ways to incorporate home gardening into your lifestyle. Dr. Judd will also discuss the nutritional benefits of fresh vegetables and simple ways to reduce and recycle through composting. On Saturday Ag Expo attendees will have the opportunity to hear Curt Jaynes from GardenSource present “Vitamin Rich Vegetables Straight from Your Garden and Cloning your Own Vegetables.” Curt’s discussion will cover topics that have gained a great deal of media attention around the country. Home grown vegetables and locally sourced food is in great demand and Curt will provide great insight into how to take advantage of this healthy activity. Agriculture Listening Session set for 25th Annual NM Ag Expo

The 25th Annual New Mexico Ag Expo will proudly feature a listening session with Rolando Flores, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, and Jeff Witte, Secretary of Agriculture, to discuss the needs and issues faced by the Agriculture industry. Dean Flores and Secretary of Agriculture Witte, are teaming up to have a series of Agriculture Listening Sessions to determine where New Mexico State University and the New Mexico Department of Agriculture can better assist agriculture producers.

“This is an excellent opportunity for anyone involved with New Mexico agriculture to have a direct discussion with two institutions that dramatically impact the future of agriculture in this state,” says Patrick Kircher, Roosevelt County Agriculture Agent. Stock Trailer to be Given Away

A 14-foot stock trailer is given away each year at the New 18 years old. The winner must agree to possess the trailer Mexico Ag Expo.
