AUTOGRAPH TICKETS PROCESS
In some cases, tickets are needed to access some autograph signings in AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X. Drawings were held before CMA Music Festival in a random sweepstakes, giving fans equal opportunity to get that coveted autograph. Here are some frequently asked questions about the autograph tickets: Do I need autograph-signing tickets to get autographs from the stars?
Please note: Tickets MUST be picked up by the assigned time. Tickets not claimed by the assigned times outlined on confirmation emails will be redistributed. Autograph tickets must be redeemed by the contact person on the entry form, or an authorized guardian/adult. To claim tickets, present copies of your confirmation e-mail and a photo ID. (For minor winners without a valid photo
In most cases, NO. Most signings do not require tickets. In these instances, fans may freely join the line formations for non-ticketed signings. In some cases, YES. A select few signings require tickets. This system helps ensure crowd safety is maintained inside Fan Fair X.
ID, a guardian/adult must accompany the minor to retrieve autograph tickets. The guardian/ adult must present photo ID along with winner’s confirmation e-mail.) Tickets will be printed as physical tickets. Selling of autograph tickets is prohibited.
Which autograph-signing sessions require tickets?
What if I don’t win autograph signing tickets?
For the schedule of signings requiring tickets, visit CMAfest.com. How do I get autograph-signing tickets for sessions that require tickets?
Fans were able to enter online in late May and the drawings were held on May 30. Ticket winners were notified via email. The confirmation emails contained detailed information on which artist(s) you get to meet as well as corresponding date(s), time(s) and location(s) of the signings inside AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X, plus instructions on where, when and how to retrieve autograph tickets inside the Music City Center. 18
Only a select few autograph signings require tickets. The majority of signings DO NOT REQUIRE TICKETS, which means there are TONS of opportunities to meet and photograph artists and celebrities just by strolling through Fan Fair X! There are also Hopeful Lines, areas in which you can gather in case autograph signings are opened to more fans on site. Get even more chances to win! Like CMA on Facebook, follow CMA on Twitter, and text FESTIVAL to 66937 to join the CMA MOB! Standard text and data rates apply.

Safety Information IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING
At CMA Music Festival, the safety of our attendees, artists, staff and volunteers is of utmost importance. Therefore, CMA will be utilizing the “If You See Something, Say Something” program from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). “If You See Something, Say Something” is a simple and effective program to raise public awareness of indicators of terrorism and terrorism-related crime, and to emphasize the importance of reporting suspicious activity to the proper local law enforcement authorities. All of those in attendance at CMA Music Festival are encouraged to be vigilant in reporting suspicious behavior and situations (e.g., an unattended backpack in a public place or someone trying to break into a restricted area). If suspicious activity is suspected, attendees are encouraged to call 615-8801515. Factors such as race, ethnicity, national origin, or religious affiliation alone are not
suspicious. For that reason, the public should report only suspicious behavior and situations (e.g., an unattended backpack in a public place or someone trying to break into a restricted area) rather than beliefs, thoughts, ideas, expressions, associations, or speech unrelated to terrorism or other criminal activity. PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items will NOT be permitted at any CMA Music Festival event sites (LP Field, Bud Light Stage at Bridgestone Arena Plaza, AT&T U-Verse Fan Fair X at Music City Center, The Buckle, Fan Alley, Chevrolet Riverfront Park, SoBro Row, Walk of Fame Park) for the safety of all Festival attendees: • Bags larger than 12”x 6”x12” (See bag policy on page 12) • Food, beverages (individual plastic water bottles are permitted) • Laser pointers and noise makers • Beach or sports balls • Coolers, canisters or glass • Animals (service animals are permitted) • Skateboards, bikes, rollerblades CONTINUED on PAGE 42 ...

• Firearms and other weapons • Video or recording device Everyone entering CMA Music Festival areas is subject to search for prohibited items. EMERGENCY WEATHER
In the event of an inclement weather emergency, please read the following safety response plan: In the event of a tornado warning, sirens will sound throughout Downtown Nashville. If you are at any of the Festival event stages (LP Field Concert Stage, Chevrolet Riverfront Stage, Bud Light Stage, The Buckle Stage, Samsung Galaxy Stage, BMI Stage, Chevrolet Roadhouse Stage), the stage manager will make an announcement and give instructions on the threat level and if the area needs to be evacuated. If you are in any of the outside free event areas (The Buckle, Fan Alley, SoBro Row, Walk of Fame Park), a designated site manager will announce instructions by bullhorn for that area. If the weather requires attendees to seek shelter, they will be instructed to move peacefully and orderly to secure areas based on proximity. There are four designated SAFE 42
SHELTERS for attendees to utilize in case of an emergency (denoted on the Event Map in this Guide): MUSIC CITY CENTER – Demonbreun between Fifth and Seventh Avenues BRIDGESTONE ARENA – Corner of Fifth Avenue South and Broadway HILTON HOTEL UNDERGROUND PARKING GARAGE – Fourth Avenue North between Broadway and Demonbreun under the Hall of Fame Park SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER – Fourth Avenue North and Demonbreun NASHVILLE CONVENTION CENTER – Broadway and Fifth Avenue North In the case that you are unable to get to one of these safe shelters, proceed to the nearest local business for cover. For example, if you are at the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage, utilize the many shops on Broadway and Second Avenue. THANK YOU for your attention and diligence to keep CMA Music Festival a fun and safe vacation destination!

HEAT PRECAUTIONS
Temperatures during the CMA Music Festival in Downtown Nashville can often soar into the high 90s with high humidity, which has prompted medical officials to ask visitors to take necessary precautions while in the heat. It is important to get someone who may be suffering from heat exhaustion to a cool place out of direct sunlight, keep them wet with cool water or wet towels, and turn a fan on to help cool the body.
Additional tips to avoid heat exhaustion: • Avoid intense outdoor activity from 10 AM to 2PM, the hottest part of the day • Rest frequently in the shade when outdoors • Wear light-colored and lightweight clothing • Cover up — wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen of 15 SPF or greater • Drink even if you don’t feel thirsty • Limit your intake of alcohol and caffeine
First aid stations will be located throughout the Festival, staffed by Vanderbilt LifeFlight Event Medicine.

THANK YOU to
ARTISTS and VOLUNTEERS for making
POSSIBLE!
CMA Foundation Started in 2006 as Keep the Music Playing, this CMA initiative grew into the larger CMA Foundation in 2011 and has given $9 million over the years to help nonprofit and public school music education programs. The artists who participate in CMA Music Festival appear for free, donating their time out of appreciation for the fans. To honor the artists’ dedication and time, the CMA Foundation donates funds from the event on the artists’ behalf.

Funds have been used to build music labs and purchase instruments and supplies for all 154 Metro Nashville Public Schools through a CMA partnership with the Nashville Public Education Foundation. The 2013 CMA Music Festival’s contributions through the Foundation totaled $1 million to benefit music education programs for Nashville’s 82,800 public school students. A grant of $18,000 was awarded to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) to support the Disney Musicals in Schools
program, which is the Disney Theatrical Group’s first in-school outreach project outside of New York City. $1 million endowment was given to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s “Words & Music” program, which assists language arts and music teachers with classroom instruction in the basics of songwriting. The CMA Foundation also supports the W.O. Smith summer camp programs, and the nonprofit Notes for Notes program, which provides free music and recording
studio instruction to children, after school, in connection with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In January 2014, the CMA Foundation’s All Stars Concert was held at the new CMA Theater in downtown Nashville. The concert honors the best music programs in Metro Nashville Public Schools by letting them perform on a world-class stage. CMA Music Festival performer Eric Paslay hosted the 2014 event and performed his song “Less Than Whole,” with guitar students from CONTINUED on PAGE 48 ...

Nashville School of the Arts. Chevrolet, the Official Ride of Country Music, has joined forces with the Country Music Association by partnering with Keep the Music Playing. In 2013, Chevrolet presented a brand new Traverse to Metro Nashville schools for pickup and delivery of instruments for the CMA Foundation-funded instrument repair facility.

CMA extends a big THANK YOU to all of the artists and celebrities who participate in CMA Music Festival for free, our promotional partners that make this a one-of-a-kind event, the volunteers who contribute their time, and the fans for filling Downtown Nashville in June every year.
