The City of Laguna Niguel is proud to announce that the construction of the Crown Valley Community Center at Crown Valley Park has been completed and that the state-ofthe-art facility is now open to the public. is new building is spectacular! It is a beautiful facility that will serve many generations to come.

Th e construction of the Crown Valley Community Center was part of a larger Crown Valley Park Improvement Project, which was recently selected as the recipient of two distinguished awards! Th e fi rst is from the American Society of Civil Engineers, (ASCE) Orange County Branch, in the category of 2020 Outstanding Urban or Land Development Project. Th e second is from the California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) in the category of Excellence in Facility Design. Th e completion of this project signifi es the single largest capital improvement investment by the City of Laguna Niguel in its 31-year history since incorporation.

Th e Crown Valley Community Center was designed by architectural design fi rm, LPA, Inc., and the construction of the building was overseen by construction management fi rm, C.W. Driver, Inc. Th e building is 30,000-square feet and is three stories. Th e facility provides several rooms that are available for the public to rent for special events, meetings, and programs.

Th e facility is also home to the City’s Parks and Recreation Department staff . Th e new building has a contemporary look and features a dedicated art room, fi tness and dance room, collaborative tech room, multi-purpose room with a 300-person dining capacity, a catering kitchen, and several multi-purpose classrooms. Th e lower aquatics level features locker rooms with private changing areas and classrooms that open to the pool deck. Th e upper level of the building features an outdoor rooftop patio overlooking the community pool and provides beautiful views of the Niguel Botanical Preserve.

Th e Crown Valley Community Center front desk is now open, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., for class and program registration. Staff -led tours of the facility are also currently being off ered to members of the public, including the business community. Additionally, the Laguna Niguel Aquatics Center located on the lower level of the Community Center continues to accept reservation-based lap swimming 7-days per week.

As 2021 moves forward, additional in-person programs, classes, rentals, and services will be available at the new building. Th ese new programs and services will include off erings for all ages.
