A Message from the Head of School I am pleased to share the Kingswood Oxford 2015-2016 Annual Fund Report of Donors. Those listed have generously supported Kingswood Oxford’s fiscal and strategic goals throughout this past school year. It is this support, as well as that from our dedicated volunteers, faculty and staff that make it possible for KO to be such a close-knit community and an incredible place of learning. The past year was one of exciting changes to the KO campus. In December 2015, we opened a beautifully refurbished Roberts Building entrance facing Trout Brook Road. In addition to the welcoming entrance with new student and office spaces, a vibrant College Advising suite is now open and easily accessible to students, families and college representatives. And that is not all. In May 2016, the renovation of the Brayton Athletic Center began. The new state-of-the-art Field House, scheduled to open in March 2017, will feature indoor tennis courts, a large playing surface for multiple other sports, indoor running lanes, a batting cage suspended from the ceiling, an aerobics room and a large Fitness Center. In addition to these physical changes, we also introduced KO’s updated logo. A bold design that celebrates tradition with the blending of the Oxford shield and Kingswood iconography, and with the inclusion of the school motto, the new logo embodies the spirit of the original two institutions. It is exciting to see the new logo, along with a reimagined Wyvern, worn and displayed proudly by students and adults throughout campus. Moving forward, we are thrilled to launch The Henry R. and Margaret E. Roberts Center for Leadership. Through programs such as on-campus internship opportunities, students will learn real world skills with continued focus on KO’s core values of commitment, integrity, taking risks and working hard. A refreshed website is also on the way and expected to launch by summer. Kingswood Oxford has a long and honored history and tradition. We are very proud of our history. We are proud of our continuing innovations and we are excited about the future. KO students are prepared for success personally, academically and professionally, and they go on to contribute in deep and meaningful ways to the world beyond KO. Thanks to our donors and volunteers, and the enthusiasm and dedication of the Board of Trustees and Annual Fund Chairs, we are able to improve our campus and programs so that this tradition can continue. We are pleased to report that the 2015-2016 annual fund raised $1,074,018 in unrestricted gifts helping to offset the portion of the annual budget not covered by tuition. Included in this total is an incredible 100% participation from the Oxford Class of 1956, an admirable faculty and staff participation of 93%, and an impressive $184,439 from our dedicated Board of Trustees! Ok, we get it – nobody enjoys reading annual reports unless they are either a CPA or a stockholder in the company. The truth is, we, the KO community, are all stockholders with a vested stake in the School’s continued success. For 107 years, Kingswood Oxford alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends have shown an unwavering commitment to promoting excellence in this institution. Keep purchasing more of the stock – we definitely appreciate your financial support, but give your time as well. Become an advocate for KO and encourage others with school-aged children to attend a sporting event, take a campus tour, or attend a concert or play. Think of it as protecting your investment!

As the parent of a Kingswood Oxford student, I continually witness the value of a KO education. Our children are becoming independent and well informed young adults who will be properly prepared for their college years and beyond. In my role as Parent Chair of the KO Annual Fund, I like to believe I am a cheerleader for our school and I hope all of you are equally supportive. I trust you can see the positive impact upon our children created by a caring team of faculty, advisors, coaches and staff. We can show support for our outstanding school by donating to the KO Annual Fund. The Fund has an immediate impact on the current student body across the spectrum of academics, the arts, athletics, financial aid and faculty enrichment. In the 2015-2016 academic year our parent participation rate in the KO Annual Fund was 44% and I know we can do better. The 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award winner Ann Coolidge Randall ’73, P ’13 has dedicated countless hours to the school as a Class Agent, Trustee, the Head’s Advisory Council Oxford Committee Chair, Parent of Alumni, and ardent supporter.
