Remnant Ad Program Diamondback Remnant Ads are an inexpensive and excellent way to get exposure in the University of Maryland market. As a general rule The Diamondback tries to make the ad stack "square off" each page. This leaves occasional gaps which must be filled. These holes can range from one column inch to sometimes as many as ten column inches. With the Remnant Ad Program we hope to eliminate this and at the same time offer our advertisers an opportunity to get a short message to our readership at a discount price. Here's how the program works: our regular open rate is $15.60 per column inch. With a Remnant Contract, remnant ads are only $9.40 per column inch. That's nearly a 40% savings! Obviously, we cannot guarantee when or how frequently your ad will run. It might run every day for a week and then not again for a week, depending on our space requirements. We can, however, limit the size of your ad, at your request. And we will not run more than one of your Remnant Ads on any given day, unless you request it. Additionally, we will count any advertising you place in this program toward your regular advertising column inch total, so you may qualify for a lower rate at an earlier time.
