& The Daily Vidette is looking forward to continuing its relationship with SAMI. Per our conversation, I have developed the following options to develop an effective marketing plan and continue to provide top-notch advertising with the greatest student market penetration available in the ISU area.

Option 1 - 80” Annual Contract This option is geared toward providing volume and consecutive discounts in order to best utilizize advertising funds. SAMI agrees to purchase a full color ad either in the 5x8 front premium spacing or a 4x10 in the back premium spacing. Another half-page ad of either format will be purchased to ensure market saturation. Premium ads = $2044.68 per week Other 40” ad = $858.80 per week Commitment = $2903.48 per week

(Equates to annual cost savings of approximately $7,465.20 and a volume of 12,400”)

Option 2 - 40” Annual Contract This option enables SAMI to dominate premium spacing but does not allow for volume. SAMI purchases a full color half page ad in premium spacing. Commitment = $2119.92 per week

1st Annual

Illinois State University

Housing Fair Presented by

The Daily Vidette and The Dean of Students

Tuesday, October 10, 2006 10 AM-4 PM The Circus Room-Bone Student Center Welcome to the 1st Annual Illinois State University Housing Fair! This event provides you, the participant, with an on-campus chance to provide information about the services your company has to offer directly to the ISU community.

Price: $145/Table*

Set-up will begin at 9:00am. We suggest, as a participant, you bring as much promotional material that your space will hold in order to create a lasting memory with attendees. These items can range from pens and key-chains all the way up to free-standing displays and spin wheels. As a participant, remember that college students love free stuff, so we encourage you to bring as many promotional pieces that you are able to bring along!

Includes: • One 8’ table • Two folding chairs • Free parking at the Bone Student Center • Two boxed lunches • One insert in promotional bags given to attendees • Access to students on campus in the heart of open-leasing season *Maximum of two tables per company

How are we going to spread the word? We have constructed a comprehensive marketing plan to create a “buzz” on campus about this event. We will be using the Daily Vidette to run at least 10 full-page, full-color ads prior to the event. Additional advertisements include, but are not limited to, the use of the Dean of Students Office website, facebook.com, and table tents on top of a huge amount of “grass-roots” marketing (e.g. handing out flyers on the quad, attending residential hall meetings, chalking the quad). Finally, another method we will use to entice students to attend the fair will be utilizing vendors who can provide additional raffle prizes and giveaways for students. We will be using any and all advertising avenues available to provide a fantastic event both for students and participants!

Help us reach our first-come-first-serve goal of 20 property owners Please contact us with questions or to reserve your space: Ryan Wilkinson at the Daily Vidette: 438-8742 Michael Zajac at the Dean of Students Office: 438-2151

What is it?

The Renters Guide is our special magazine style section that informs the ISU community about all the living options in Ames.

Why advertise in it?

• Students rely on the Renters Guide as a tool to explore the different living options in the Ames area. • By advertising you can provide valuable information about the living options you offer! • Give potential tenants information on location, price, size, and other accomadations as well as how to contact you for further information or to talk about signing a lease! •This section has high readership because it publishes at the time of year when students start thinking about where they will be living during the next school year. Students sign leases in the spring months so this section gives them a jumpstart and reminds them to start thinking about next year! • The entire magazine will be online the Daily website for an entire month!
