Bermuda to hold general election on February 18

Bermuda will head to the polls on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, as Premier David Burt announced a general election nearly a year ahead of the constitutional deadline

The decision comes at a pivotal time for the British Overseas Territory, with economic challenges, the rising cost of living, and public concerns about crime and education reform dominating the political discourse

The Progressive Labour Party (PLP), led by Burt, has comfortably won the last two General Elections In 2017, the PLP ousted the One Bermuda Alliance (OBA) with 24 out of 36 seats and 59% of the popular vote

Burt's snap election in 2020, held during the COVID-19 pandemic, saw the PLP increase its majority to 30 seats with 62% of the vote, despite historically low voter turnout Burt has indicated this will be his final election as PLP leader, with the party promising to continue economic development initiatives and support for vulnerable residents

However, the political landscape is evolving The return of former United Bermuda Party Premier Sir John Swan, now leading a movement of independent candidates, and the re-emergence of Marc Bean's Free Democratic Movement (FDM) add new dimensions to the race Observers predict that up to four candidates may compete in many constituencies, with the OBA also aiming to rebuild its presence under leader Jarion Richardson Richardson has criticized the timing of the election, suggesting it aligns with the budget process and reflects strategic motives by the PLP

The cost of living is expected to be a key election issue While Bermuda's international business sector remains strong, wages in other industries have lagged behind inflation, exacerbating economic pressures on residents Public concerns also include crime, antisocial behavior, and uncertainty surrounding school closures and education reforms

In an interview, Premier Burt defended his administration's record, stating, “This government's heart is in the right place we want to continue bringing relief and fixing problems in these turbulent times ” Meanwhile, Marc Bean of the FDM described the election as a chance for change, saying his party offers “fresh ideas and decisive, trustworthy leadership” to tackle Bermuda's critical challenges

Trinidad and Tobago Parliament approves SOE extension

T r i n i d a d a n d T o b a g o ' s

Parliament on Monday unanimously approved a three-month extension of the state of emergency (SOE), sparking a heated debate

b e t w e e n g o v e r n m e n t a n d opposition lawmakers over accountability for the country's high murder rate

Earlier in the day, legislators acknowledged President Christine Kangaloo's decision to declare the SOE on December 30, 2024, but Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar criticized the move as poorly timed, calling instead for fresh general elections During the debate, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley defended the SOE extension, arguing that the initial 15-day period was insufficient to address the crime wave effectively

“It is too early to say that it has been successful,” Rowley said “We need more time to strengthen law enforcement efforts, interrogate suspects, convert intelligence into evidence, and detain those responsible for wreaking havoc on our communities ”

Rowley rejected accusations of

inconsistency, noting his administration's reluctance to impose curfews due to their impact on small businesses He dismissed Persad Bissessar's claim that the government's alleged inaction had

contributed to over 5,000 murders since 2015, countering that similar logic could attribute responsibility for 2,435 deaths to her administration from 2010 to 2015 Rowley also challenged Persad

Bissessar's assertion that an earlier SOE declaration could have saved lives, calling the claim “ mere conjecture ” He emphasized the complex nature of combating crime, stating, “Pointing fingers

Minor opposition party opts out of Trinidad 2025 general election

The Movement for Social Justice (MSJ), a small opposition party in Trinidad and Tobago, announced on Tuesday that it will not participate in the upcoming general election later this year

MSJ leader David Abdulah revealed the decision during a press conference, explaining that the party aims to concentrate on strengthening its organizational capacity to better position itself for future governance

“We do not believe we are in a position to do so in 2025, and therefore we would focus on our own building,” Abdulah stated

The MSJ, closely associated with the influential Oilfield Workers Union (OWTU), has struggled in previous local and general elections Abdulah emphasized that while the party will not contest the election, it remains committed to advocating for citizens by engaging with the public, raising awareness about their

rights, and issuing statements on national issues

The party’s limited participation in the 2013 and 2016 local government elections saw modest growth, with an expanded presence in 2019 However, Abdulah noted that the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted their development plans, leaving insufficient time to achieve their organizational goals

In a strategic shift, Abdulah announced he will no longer be the sole

spokesperson for the party, signaling a move toward greater delegation and specialized communication efforts

He also clarified that the recent emergence of political entities such as Gary Griffith’s National Transformation Alliance (NTA) and Mickela Panday’s Patriotic Front (PF) did not influence the MSJ’s decision to sit out this year ’ s election

Meanwhile, the country’s main opposition party, the United National Congress (UNC), has expressed openness to forming coalitions with smaller opposition groups to challenge the ruling People’s National Movement (PNM), which has been in power since 2015

As the political landscape evolves, the MSJ’s focus on internal development reflects its long-term strategy to strengthen its role in Trinidad and Tobago’s political sphere

St. Vincent presents EC$1.85 Billion 2025 budget without tax increases

Minister of Finance Camillo Gonsalves has announced that the government of St Vincent and the Grenadines will implement its EC$1 85 billion budget for 2025 without increasing taxes or fees

The commitment was made during his budget presentation to Parliament, where he also highlighted the government's achievements in 2024 despite the challenges posed by Hurricane Beryl

“We are already recovering We are already rising again, and we are energetically building a stronger, more resilient, more inclusive, more sustainable St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” Gonsalves told Parliament on Monday

The finance minister emphasized that 2024 showcased the government's dedication to addressing urgent needs

while pursuing long-term development goals He highlighted the swift response to Hurricane Beryl, which directly affected 19,000 people, describing the government's actions as both “tireless and compassionate ”

While noting the extraordinary efforts required to balance disaster recovery with competing developmental priorities, Gonsalves stated, “This government has worked hard, has worked smart, and has worked well in the people's interests ”

The 2025 budget allocates EC$127 million to disaster recovery and reconstruction, targeting those affected by both Hurricane Beryl and the 2021 eruption of La Soufrière volcano

The 2025 fiscal package represents a 14 4% increase over the previous year,

broken down into recurrent expenditure (EC$1 15 billion) and capital expenditure (EC$698 6 million) Current revenue is projected at EC$907 7 million, reflecting an 11 9% increase over 2024, but leaving a deficit of EC$5 6 million

Gonsalves described the budget as a blend of recovery and long-term development, saying, “It prioritizes our disaster response while addressing our visionary investments in major infrastructure projects and innovative social interventions ” The budget was approved after an overnight parliamentary debate, underscoring the government's commitment to delivering both immediate relief and sustained progress for the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines

will not solve the problem Criminals thrive when we are divided ”

Energy Minister Stuart Young bolstered the government's case, highlighting the enhanced powers granted under the SOE regulations “These measures allow the police to act more decisively, with the ability to conduct searches and seizures without warrants in specific, limited circumstances,” Young said “This is not possible under existing laws like the Firearms Act or the Anti-Gang Act ” Opposition legislator Saddam Hosein dismissed the SOE as an election tactic, arguing that current laws already provide sufficient tools to combat crime However, Young rebutted this, stating that the emergency powers are essential for a more robust law enforcement response

As Trinidad and Tobago grapples with its escalating crime rate, the extension of the SOE underscores the government's determination to curb violence, though critics remain skeptical of its long-term effectiveness

US removes Cuba from state sponsor of terrorism list

The United States has officially removed Cuba from its list of State Sponsors of Terrorism, signaling a significant shift in U S -Cuba relations

The Biden administration determined that Cuba has not supported terrorism in the past six months and has provided assurances that it will not engage in such activities going forward

The move reverses a decision made in January 2021 that added Cuba to the list. Being labeled as a State Sponsor of Terrorism had serious effects on Cuba, including restrictions on financial transactions and limited access to U S economic aid

According to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the Biden-Harris administration's Cuba policy focuses on “empowering the Cuban people to freely determine their own future, and advancing respect for human rights. This singular purpose has guided our policies to reunify Cuban families, strengthen cultural and educational ties between Cuba and the United States, enable remittances to flow more freely to the Cuban people, and increase support for independent Cuban entrepreneurs ”

As part of this effort, several key steps were announced:

• Rescinding Cuba's Terrorism Designation: President Biden notified Congress of the decision to remove Cuba from the State Sponsor of Terrorism list

• Issuing a Waiver for Title III of the Helms-Burton Act: The waiver, also known as the Libertad Act, will be in effect for six months

• Ending Additional Engagement

Restrictions: The 2017 National Security Presidential Memorandum 5 on Cuba policy has been rescinded, lifting additional regulations on U S. interactions with Cuban individuals and entities

In collaboration with the Catholic Church and under the guidance of Pope Francis, the Cuban government has also agreed to release a significant number of political prisoners, a move welcomed by the U S as a step toward improving the livelihood and liberty of the Cuban people

President Biden's actions reflect advice from leaders across Latin America and the Catholic Church to foster constructive dialogue and address the human rights challenges faced by Cubans These measures aim to build stronger ties between the two nations while encouraging Cuba to make meaningful changes to benefit its citizens

South Florida commemorates 15th anniversary of Haiti's 2010 earthquake

On January 12, South Florida marked the 15th anniversary of Haiti's devastating 2010 earthquake with solemn events that honored the lives lost and called for unity and resilience

The tragedy claimed at least 220,000 lives, displaced 1 5 million people, and shattered the country's infrastructure, including thousands of schools

The Family Action Network Movement (FANM) led a vigil in Little Haiti, gathering local leaders, community advocates, and residents to reflect on the tragedy and its enduring impact

The commemoration began at 3 p m at the Toussaint Louverture Memorial Statue, where speakers shared poignant remarks about the earthquake that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, injured countless others, and displaced more than a million people. At 4:53 p m the exact moment the 7 0magnitude quake struck a moment of silence was observed, echoing the grief and solidarity felt globally 15 years ago Participants later joined in a march to the Little Haiti Cultural Center, 5925 NE Second Ave Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen, who attended the vigil, highlighted the Haitian community's strength “Haiti's story is one of perseverance and hope,” she said “Even in the face of

unimaginable devastation, the Haitian community has continued to rise, rebuild, and inspire the world ”

In a heartfelt statement, Consul General A Reginald Victor-Louis in South Florida emphasized the importance of this day as both a moment of reflection and a rallying cry for Haitians to take control of their nation's destiny

“This earthquake, which claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of our compatriots and left deep scars, is etched in our memories as a symbol of pain, but also of resilience Fifteen years later, we continue to live in turmoil, an instability that threatens our collective future But this sad anniversary must be more than just

a moment of remembrance It must be a call to reflection and action,” he said “Us alone, as a people, have the power and the responsibility to forge our own future,” he added “The time has come to arm ourselves with courage, to believe in ourselves, and to build a Nation that reflects the dignity and pride of our heritage ” Victor-Louis underscored the need for unity and purpose in honoring those who perished in the earthquake “This is a commitment we must make together, a commitment to our children, to our history, and to our brothers and sisters who perished that day Their memory demands of us change, awakening, and unity of action ”

The Consul General also encouraged Haitians to turn their pain into strength and create a better future “Together, with faith in our abilities, we can transform our pain into strength and our challenges into opportunities We must do this not only to honor those we have lost but to ensure a better future for generations to come,” he said

The effects of climate change create serious property insurance challenges

The devastation wrought by wildfires raging across Los Angeles, California, is both painful and disturbing Fueled by unusually high winds, the fires are proving exceedingly difficult to contain, leaving residents in peril and entire communities disrupted As nature unleashes its fury, collective prayers go out for the people affected

The climate crisis looms large in these tragic events With the globe warming due to climate change, droughts have deepened, storms have intensified, and wildfires have become more destructive Yet, despite mounting evidence, some continue to dismiss climate change as a "hoax "

These arguments are indefensible, particularly in light of NASA's recent report, which declared 2024 the warmest year on record Global temperatures last year were 2 3°F above the 20th-century average, surpassing the record set in 2023

One common rebuttal by climate change skeptics is, “If the planet is warming, why are winters getting colder?” Ironically, colder winters are a byproduct of global warming

The Arctic is warming faster than the rest of the planet a phenomenon called Arctic amplification which weakens the polar vortex, a system of strong winds that traps cold air near the North Pole As the vortex weakens, cold Arctic air drifts southward, causing unusually harsh winters in parts of North America, Europe, and Asia Similarly, a weakened jet stream, influenced by a warming Arctic, can lead to prolonged extreme weather, including both cold spells and heatwaves

Climate change does not eliminate cold weather but rather amplifies extreme weather patterns Warmer air holds more moisture, resulting in heavier snowfall and more intense winter storms in some regions

The repercussions of climate change extend beyond the weather, presenting dire economic challenges for property owners Hurricanes, floods, and wildfires have drastically increased the cost of property insurance, especially in high-risk states like California and Florida Many private insurers now refuse to cover damage caused by fires, floods, or storms, leaving homeowners with limited options In some cases, insurers have withdrawn entirely from states prone to severe weather

The result is that countless Americans cannot afford property insurance Homeowners with outstanding mortgages where insurance is mandatory are at risk of foreclosure or being forced to sell The situation is dire and demands a bold, national solution

One option is the creation of a Federal Department of Property Insurance While some states, like Florida, have state-backed insurance companies like Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, these efforts are

limited in scope A federal department could provide nationwide property insurance, addressing risks from natural disasters, streamlining disaster relief efforts, and establishing national risk mitigation standards

Federal oversight could also standardize insurance regulations, ensuring consistent coverage and claims processing across states Additionally, it could address affordability issues, particularly in high-risk areas where private insurers have withdrawn or charge exorbitant premiums

Admittedly, creating such a department would face significant hurdles, including state regulatory conflicts, opposition from private insurers, and political resistance However, there is a precedent: FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) serves as an example of a federal property insurance initiative This model could be expanded to cover other types of property insurance

Alternatively, federal regulations could supplement state regulations without completely replacing them

As the climate crisis escalates, the consequences of inaction are clear Rising property insurance costs are not just an economic issue they threaten the stability of communities and force families out of their homes

Addressing this challenge with urgency is not optional; it is essential

USCIS hits cap for H-2B

returning worker visas for first half of FY 2025

The U S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced it has reached the cap for the additional 20,716 H-2B visas allocated for returning workers during the first half of fiscal year 2025

Petitions for these visas, which allow nonimmigrant workers to fill temporary non-agricultural jobs, were accepted until January 7, 2025 These visas covered positions with start dates on or before March 31, 2025, under the H-2B supplemental cap temporary final rule (FY 2025 TFR)

While the returning worker allocation is now full, USCIS is still accepting petitions for the additional 20,000 H-2B visas designated for nationals of specific countries, including Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, and Honduras These visas remain available, and USCIS reports that, as of January 7, 2025, it has received petitions for 3,678 workers under this country-specific allocation

The FY 2025 TFR, which came into effect on December 2, 2024, increased the total number of H-2B visas available for the fiscal year Petitioners whose workers were not accepted under the 20,716 returning worker allocation are encouraged to apply under the country-specific allocation while visas remain

The H-2B visa program aims to address temporary labor shortages in industries such as hospitality, landscaping, and seafood processing Employers are urged to consult the USCIS website for more details on the FY 2025 supplemental visa program and to stay informed about available options

USCIS drops plans for redesigned naturalization test

U S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced it will not proceed with a proposed redesign of the naturalization test, citing widespread criticism that the changes would impose unnecessary barriers on applicants

The decision was detailed in a Federal Register notice published late last month

The agency had begun exploring updates to the test in 2022 after a review by subject matter experts suggested revisions to improve efficiency and accessibility However, feedback from the trial phase raised significant concerns that the proposed changes would complicate the process rather than streamline it

“The objective of the trial was to determine an efficient way to reduce undue barriers to taking the naturalization test, and the majority of the feedback received revealed concerns that the trial version of the test may increase burdens on applicants,” USCIS stated in the notice “Therefore, USCIS has decided to terminate the previously proposed trial test altogether ”

The naturalization test, a key step in the citizenship process, includes an English test evaluating reading, writing, and speaking skills and a civics test assessing knowledge of U S government and history The redesign had proposed two major changes:

Speaking Test: Applicants would have been asked to describe three color photographs depicting everyday life, such as food or weather Currently, applicants' speaking abilities are assessed through a conversation about their citizenship application

Civics Test: The redesigned test would have replaced the current verbal question-and-answer format with a

multiple-choice format Applicants would answer 10 questions displayed on a tablet, selecting the correct answer from four options

Public feedback poured in, with over 1,300 comments submitted, most opposing the changes Critics argued the proposed updates would create new challenges, particularly for adult learners, applicants with low literacy levels, and those unfamiliar with formal education or test-taking

Concerns included:

• The new speaking test added preparation requirements and tasks without improving language

evaluation

• The multiple-choice civics test demanded higher-level reading comprehension and test-taking skills not previously needed, disadvantaging vulnerable applicants

Given the concerns, USCIS confirmed it will continue using the 2008 version of the naturalization test The decision aligns with the agency's mission to facilitate access to citizenship while maintaining rigorous standards

For now, applicants pursuing naturalization can rely on the established process, which requires passing both the English and civics portions of the test under the existing format

Marcus Garvey fromA1

Dr Julius Garvey, son of the iconic leader, reiterated the significance of the pardon during an interview with The Gleaner “President Biden can grant a posthumous pardon and issue a statement to say no crime was committed by [Marcus] Garvey and that an injustice was being corrected,” he stated

A pardon would address Garvey's controversial 1923 conviction for mail fraud, which has been widely criticized as politically motivated

Garvey, founder of the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) and the Black Star Line shipping company, was accused of fraudulently advertising shares in a ship the company did not yet own His conviction, fueled by governmental and prosecutorial misconduct, led to a five-year prison sentence. While President Calvin Coolidge commuted the sentence in 1927, Garvey was deported to Jamaica immediately after his release He died in 1940

In recent years, efforts to clear Garvey's name have intensified

A coalition of 22 members of the U S House of Representatives, led by Jamaican-American Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, wrote to Biden last year, emphasizing the unjust nature of the charges

“Exactly 101 years ago, Mr Garvey was convicted of mail fraud in a case that was marred by prosecutorial and governmental misconduct The evidence paints an abundantly clear narrative that the charges against Mr Garvey were not only fabricated but also targeted to criminalize, discredit, and silence him as a civil rights leader In response to this blatant injustice, President Calvin Coolidge commuted Mr Garvey's sentence upon eligibility

“Efforts to clear Garvey's name have persisted for decades In 1987, under Congressman John Conyers' leadership, the House Judiciary Committee held hearings on Mr Garvey's exoneration," the letter said

The letter continues, “In 2004, Congressman Charles Rangel introduced a series of resolutions calling attention to the injustice, followed by Congresswoman Yvette D Clarke's recent efforts to continue these strides Despite these efforts, Garvey's name has not yet been cleared ”

The US House members said that exonerating Garvey would honor his work for the Black community, remove the shadow of an unjust conviction, and further the Biden administration's promise to advance racial justice

“At a time when Black history faces the existential threat of erasure by radical state legislatures, a presidential pardon for Mr Garvey would correct the historical record and restore the legacy of an American hero As we approach the conclusion of your administration, this moment provides a chance to leave an indelible mark on history,” they said

Congresswoman Clarke and Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson also introduced legislation in February 2023 calling for Garvey's exoneration, describing him as “ a champion for the liberation of people of African descent ” Garvey's influence extended far beyond his conviction A key figure in the Pan-African movement, he sought to unify people of African descent worldwide through initiatives such as the Negro World newspaper, the UNIA, and the Black Star Line His legacy as a visionary leader remains a point of pride in Jamaica, where his remains were returned in 1964, and he was declared the nation's first national hero

For supporters, a pardon from President Biden would be a long-overdue acknowledgment of the injustice faced by Garvey and a symbolic victory for racial equity

“We cannot, under any circumstances, let anything happen to him I heard the other day he's thinking about running everything from here and just going to Washington once in a while You can't blame him; I wouldn't want to go up there either,” Bradshaw quipped

Brightline to relaunch South Florida commuter program with federal support

Brightline is set to revive its South Florida commuter program in March 2025, thanks to a $33 8 million grant from the Federal Railroad

Enhancement Program

The Miami-based rail service announced the funding on January 10, highlighting its role in addressing the growing need for convenient and affordable travel options in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties

“The funding allows us to expedite new passenger cars into service and, with that capacity, increased availability for the South Florida traveler,” said Brightline President Patrick Goddard

The grant will help Brightline purchase new passenger cars, increasing train capacity

by adding two additional coaches to its trains, which currently run with five cars This will allow the company to meet the region's demand for daily commuter travel while maintaining service for long-distance riders

Before discontinuing its monthly commuter passes in June 2024, Brightline offered a variety of options for South Florida riders, including the $399 SoFlo Solo Pass and the $229 SoFlo Shared Pass However, those were replaced with a fixed-rate 10-ride pack system, which contributed to a drop in short-distance ridership as the company prioritized Orlando passengers The $299 Miami-Aventura Commuter Pass was the only package to remain available

Brightline has not yet announced pricing

for the new program or how long it will last According to Brightline spokesman Ben Porritt, “We'll roll out details over the next few weeks ”

The company's statement described the program as a “bridge or interim plan before Brightline and local counties are able to establish commuter lines in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties ” Goddard echoed this sentiment, stating, “We've been working on developing a true commuter system in South Florida for years, but that solution takes time and can't be turned on overnight This is the next best thing and can be seen as an interim commuter program before Miami-Dade and Broward launch service ”

Brightline's commuter program will cater

to riders traveling between its five South Florida stations: Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach. Trains to and from the Orlando International Airport station, which opened in September 2023, are often sold out, reflecting the company's focus on long-distance travel

ridership serving 2 5 million passengers from January to November 2024, a 38% year-overyear increase Brightline faced financial challenges last year, reporting a nearly $493 million loss in the first nine months The new program is expected to attract a steady stream of short-distance riders and provide additional revenue to complement its long-distance services

Guyana’s cricket future shines bright as Sir Clive Lloyd takes the helm of new academy

Guyana’s cricketing future has just been illuminated with an exciting announcement

The revered Sir Clive Lloyd, one of the greatest players in the history of West Indies cricket, is set to take the reins of the newly established Guyana Cricket Academy This visionary initiative, revealed by Minister of Sport Charles Ramson Jr , promises to serve as a cornerstone for developing the next generation of cricketing talent

During a highly anticipated year-end review held at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) on Homestretch Avenue, Minister Ramson provided an exciting update on the progress of the Cricket Academy project The Academy will be housed at the Good Hope facility on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD), a site already undergoing preparations for its transformative purpose

Minister Ramson proudly announced, “We commenced the clearing of the area, and I also want to announce that Clive Lloyd has agreed to have a lead role in the operationalization – well, project execution as well as the operationalization of the Cricket Academy We’re going to be entering into a contract with him for employment in the next maybe, week or two weeks or so ”

Lloyd’s involvement in this prestigious project marks a significant leap forward in Guyana’s commitment to nurturing world-class cricket talent The Sports Minister also emphasized the vital importance of cricket in Guyana, boldly declaring it as the nation’s “lead sport ” Ramson’s remarks went beyond the announcement, highlighting the critical need for substantial investment in the sport to foster long-term growth “The investment, sometimes people say ‘oh, why are we investing so much in cricket?’ But the investment is important Without the investment, how are you going to get the players?” Ramson pointed out, underscoring the historic lack of focus on infrastructure and player development that had contributed to the decline of West Indies cricket in recent years

He further detailed how previous years had been marred by insufficient investment in developmental programs, infrastructure, and technology, areas that are now receiving the attention they deserve “West Indies cricket was on the decline because there was no investment being made in the development of players There was a lot of management, administration, politics, but not enough in the foundational growth of the players ”

The establishment of the Cricket Academy serves as the country’s response to this oversight, with the clear aim of providing a comprehensive platform for developing elite talent Ramson highlighted that Guyana is home to several players currently performing exceptionally within the West Indies team, further justifying the need for such an academy

The Cricket Academy’s creation is seen as a vital step in revamping the sport’s infrastructure, ensuring that Guyana remains at the forefront of cricketing excellence in the Caribbean With Sir Clive Lloyd’s leadership, the Academy is set to become a key player in Guyana’s athletic landscape, ensuring that future generations of cricketers have access to world-class facilities and coaching to thrive at the highest level
