Spring has arrived and it’s nice to have another winter behind us. As professional drivers, the next situations we face are the tourist season and the RV traffic that goes with it.

Just a brief reminder that you are a true professional who makes your living on the highway. Patience and understanding are two of the necessary attributes that will keep you safe. Safe operation of your vehicle gets you to your destination and back home in one piece. Making a living for yourself and your family is what it’s all about. In the last few issues I mentioned promoting the transportation industry and the future it has to offer. This time of year, there are job fairs, trade shows, and show and shine events – all put on to showcase our industry. These events also raise money to support a great number of local charities. When you see an event in your area, show your support. The 2017 APNA Truck Show is approaching quickly, taking place on June 10th and 11th at the Tradex in Abbotsford, BC. Come and be part of the largest truck show in Western Canada, which this year will focus on new technology and innovations. Also, the 2017 APNA Truck Show is raffling off a grand prize of a Hyundai trailer valued at over $40,000, with all proceeds going to BC Children’s Wish Foundation.
