The Prez’s Corner .......
The wildflower super bloom has come and gone, and hopefully you were able to experience it on our CCCR drive or individually. It was quite spectacular! Local social and track events, PCA National events, and even global events are really starting to ramp up. Porsche Parade registration will be complete by the time you read this and as of last count we have almost forty CCCR members participating! Time to get that Porsche to The Stable or Porsche San Luis Obispo to make sure it is in tiptop shape for all the driving miles and the heat of the Palm Springs.
On Saturday June 10, 2023, Porsche AG, Porsche Cars North America, and PCA will be celebrating Porsche’s 75th Anniversary with a major event hosted by and held at Porsche San Luis Obispo. Details for registration and attendance will be released soon. You have already received my email asking for specific color Porsches to be displayed. Our local June 10th celebration promises to be a fantastic day!

Autocross and Drivers Education events are in full swing. The April AX and AX School marked the debut of our newly re-

surfaced track at Santa Maria Airport. The new surface held up extremely well, and we received many positive comments about the grip level and overall drivability. The next AX is Saturday May 13th, and subsequent Autocrosses will occur every four to six weeks until late October. The first DE of 2023 was last weekend at Buttonwillow with a great turnout and splendid weather! Our June DE at Laguna Seca had to be rescheduled to August because of track paving work.
Drive N Dines and other social tours are quite frequent now that the weather has stabilized. Look for email blasts with details and head out on some great back country roads – and experience good food and camaraderie.
On a personal note, our CCCR Coastalaire Editor, Bob “Kit” Kitamura, is experiencing some serious health issues. Kit’s intention is to keep working on Coastalaire as it is a labor of love for him! We are going to try and keep Coastalaire on schedule one way or another. Please keep Bob in your thoughts going forward.
