Southside Village
Residents enjoy short walks to Morton's Gourmet Market, Sarasota Memorial Hospital, as well as various local restaurants and shops in Southside Village.
McClellan Park was developed in 1916 when Katherine and Daisy McClellan, sisters from Northampton, Massachusettes, developed the neighborhood as a "select and modern community" for the city of 4,000. In presentation materials, the sisters promised to preserve "what nature had painted so well." Inspired by the presence of the Native American midden, a mound of shells left by members of the Calusa tribe 1,000 or more years ago, the McClellans gave their curving roads tribal names, including Seminole and Sioux. Lots were pricey at the time, from $800 to $2,500. A year after it's start, the McClellans sold to a new developer and traveled for a few years. When they returned to Sarasota, they opened a tea room in the clubhouse.
MULTI-FAMILY COMPOUND At the center of McClellan Park, you will find 1700 Seminole Drive, with a 100 year old historic structure on the lot. In 1932, this structure served as the neighborhood clubhouse before it became the McClellan Park School. In the 1950s, the school was run by Mrs. Ernest Smith and Mrs. Robert Lake. Most recently, Cheryl Zimmer operated an award-winning middle school in the 3,000 square foot wood frame building. At about three quarters of an acre, the site of the former McClellan Park School, would be a nice lot for a one house addition to the family compound. Empty land is at a premium in this sought after West of the Trail neighborhood, and the lot is located directly across from 1744 Seminole Drive.
Bringing the story to life to sell your home.
Our Vision Every home has its own grain, the traits that allow us to bring the home to life. This presentation is the beginning of our vision for 1744 Seminole Drive. We hope to inspire you as we move forward. Our sole focus is to accomplish your goal of selling.
Allow our team to create the story of your home Every home holds it's own character and truth. There is very little that can create more meaning in our lives than the place we call home. Our dirt. Our space. Our home. It's our life story ... and that is real estate. It is meaningful, and we are honored every day to help new families create their story.
With over 25 years experience, Kim Dowling leads a team of top agents at Coastal Luxury Partners. Clients that work with our agents quickly benefit from their drive and determination. We are a forward thinking company leaving our mark on the Sarasota and Manatee real estate scene. Growing up the daughter of a successful real estate broker and attorney, it's no wonder Kim was made for this. "I grew up around the business. In fact, I had keys to our real estate office before I had keys to my first car." Working with her father allowed Kim to acquire a wealth of knowledge, and the ability to grow and adapt as the industry changes. With innovation, creativity, and relentless work ethic, Kim and her team are passionate about consistently finding new and better ways to sell homes. We sell with the most up to date technology and marketing strategies available - never forgetting that personal relationships matter most. Gone are the days of taking a few pictures and making cookies for an open house. A unique strategy for every listing is the key to success. After almost fifteen years of leading a successful multi-office brokerage in the Atlanta real estate market, Kim transitioned to the luxury Florida market and has never looked back. Kim's strength is the ability to create the stories of the homes we sell. Combining those stories with technology is what brings buyers to the front door. We hope that you will allow our team to work tirelessly for you!
Experience matters and marketing will set you apart.
