Cleaning this spring? Don’t trash it; recycle it! Cobb EMC, in partnership with City of Acworth, City of Kennesaw and Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, will host recycle days.

NOTIFICATIONS AHEAD As we near the summer months, Cobb EMC has prepared several ways to notify you when we are experiencing peak conservation hours, which will affect your peak service charge and your rate for up to the next 12 months. By lowering your energy use during peak conservation hours, you can help your co-op reduce how much we pay for electricity and, in turn, help keep rates low.

Peak Conservation Hours: Can occur Monday through Friday from 2-7 p.m. during the months of June through September, excluding weekends and holidays. This is the time to conserve energy and money.

The 2016 figures reflect the resources that were supplied for the year ending December 31, 2016.

The 2017 figures are prospective and reflect the power that we have contracted to provide. Actual figures may vary according to resource availability. We will annually report to you before August 1 of next year in the form of a Historic Product Content Label the actual resource mix of the electricity you purchased.

New Renewables come from generation facilities that first began commercial operation within the past 15 years.

This product includes generation from a facility that is approved for extended use by Green-e Energy.

For comparison, the current average mix of resources supplying Cobb EMC includes: Coal (22.49%), Nuclear (14.96%), Oil (0%), Natural Gas (45.62%), Hydroelectric (12.49%), and Other (4.44%).
