TRICK-OR-TREAT WITH SAFETY IN MIND Don’t let safety spook you this Halloween. Before your ghosts and goblins hit the streets to trick-or-treat, talk to them about safety and how simple precautions can make for a fun and safe night. • Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape and try to use light colors. • Trick-or-treat in familiar, well-lit areas. • An adult should always accompany younger children. • Always walk on sidewalks and paths. • Never enter a stranger’s home. • Inspect treats and candy before you eat them. Have a happy and safe Halloween and visit cobbemc.com/safety for more safety tips.
COBB EMC CREWS AID IN IRMA AFTERMATH In September, Hurricane Irma left thousands of Georgia residents in the dark, without power. After the storm passed, 36 Cobb EMC employees including line crews, superintendents, mechanics, as well as safety and training personnel went south towards Tifton, Ga, to help other utilities affected by the storm. Cobb EMC’s crews packed trucks with tools and equipment and helped Irwin EMC survey and repair damage throughout their service area.
