Set to save:
Set your thermostat to 78 on hot days to conserve energy. For maximum efficiency, set a programmable thermostat to a warmer temperature while you’re away from home. Consider using a ceiling fan as an alternative. Remember fans cool people, not rooms, so be sure to turn them off when you leave.
Keep the heat out:
Use window coverings to block out the sun and help keep temperatures lower in your home. Make sure all entry ways are sealed with good weatherstripping. Keep windows closed and locked to be more energy-efficient.
Give your HVAC some TLC:
