CONYERS — Local businesses, organizations and individuals voted “Best of the Best” for 2024 were celebrated Thursday, Nov. 7, at a gathering to honor the community’s favorites.
The Rockdale/Newton Citizen Best of the Best 2024 Showcase at Costley Mill Event Center drew more than 200 people to celebrate winners selected from 619 nominees in 157 categories. Attendees networked with other winners, while enjoying food and beverages and the sounds of DJ Cedric Coleman.
Title sponsor for the event was McCart’s Auto Center. The business won several Best of the Best awards, including Best Service and Lube Shop, Best Tire Store, Best Repair & Service Shop, Best Mechanic & Engine Repair and Best Auto Mechanic Repair.
Kelly McCart expressed his appreciation to the company’s customer base, many of whom have been customers for 25 years. He also said he believes the company’s quality control system is what sets them apart.
“We try to provide top-quality service,” he said. “Our motto is ‘Quality Over Quantity.’”
Copy Central, a Conyers business for 18 years, was one of the presenting
sponsors for the event. Copy Central was voted Best of the Best Photo Copy/ Printing business. Owner Dotti Bala said their approach to business reflects who they are.
“We love what we do, who we do it with, and those we do it for,” said Bala.
The VIP Sponsor for the event was Conyers Animal Hospital. The VIP Food Sponsor was Momma Say Knock U Out BBQ, which provided a barbecue meal with all the fixings.
The Partner Sponsor for the event was Rockdale County Parks & Recreation.
