ISHCMC INVITATIONAL Each year the Stingrays host their very own ISHCMC Invitational. Over 400 swimmers travel from Thailand, Cambodia and from within Vietnam to attend this 2 day event. Swimmers enroll in 5 events and 2 relays, all with the common goal of getting their personal best time. There is also a much-anticipated coach/parents relay each year too! Hosting a club swim meet is very important for a team. Strong communities are created when parents, coaches and volunteers all work together to reach a common goal. Parents also get the opportunity to know their swimmer’s teammates and other parents better and the satisfaction of helping out being positive role models for their children. Everyone gets to understand the sport better and the swimmers forge a strong team bond by all being involved. The ISHCMC Invitational is the largest swim meet in Vietnam and is a big end of year highlight for the Stingrays family.

ISHCMC LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM F.A.Q.
How do I register? Please visit the Aquatics Director to register for lessons. A receipt detailing the days and times of the lessons will be issued once cash payment has been made. Please save the dates to ensure that no lessons are missed. What do I bring to class? Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel to class. Additionally, bring a pair of flip-flops or pool sandals to wear out to the pool area. You may go barefoot or wear pool sandals on the deck. Swim caps are suggested for all swimmers. Goggles are optional. Swim caps may be purchased in the Aquatics Office for 150,000 VND. What age groups can participate in swim lessons? We offer swim lessons for all ages and skill levels. What do I do if it looks like bad weather right before my lesson? We do cancel group lessons for inclement weather (lightning and thunder). The weather is unpredictable, so it is difficult to inform parents beforehand. A make-up lesson will be scheduled if a lesson is cancelled due to weather. If my swimmer is already enrolled in a session, do I need to re-register for the next session? Yes, please register in the Aquatics Office for each session offered. The registration numbers help us monitor the number of swimmers in each lesson. Do I need to attend ISHCMC in order to attend swimming lessons? Yes, these lessons are provided to students that attend ISHCMC. My child has missed a lesson, can I reschedule the lesson? Make up lessons are only scheduled if ISHCMC Swim School has had to cancel due to inclement weather. How do I pick a level for me/my child? We ask that participants choose the level that they feel most accurately reflects their abilities. If a level does not seem to be a good fit, the instructor will move the participant to the correct level. For more information, please contact the Aquatics Director.

ISHCMC SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING PROGRAM Synchronized swimming is a very beautiful sport, but requires some patience to learn it. The moves are very intricate, so our program starts with the basics. Swimmers will learn how do the egg beater and sculling to begin with. Once they develop these skills, they will be able to try more difficult moves. Our instructor is very experienced and competed in the 2012 Asean Championship, where her team placed second overall. She is currently training for the 3rd SEA swimming championship, so we have limited opportunity to offer the Synchronized swimming program. About the program: • 6 lessons of thirty minute lessons • 5 swimmers maximum • Cost is 1,000,000 VND Program Dates: There will be two sessions from August until December. We will be able to offer this program at two different times: 1. 3:15 - 3:45pm 2. 3:45 - 4:15pm To register for the program, please contact the Aquatics office. Registration works on a first come, first served basis.
