22nd August 2014
Welcome back everyone and a warm welcome to our new families. We hope you have had an enjoyable two weeks back! During our teacher’s orientation, Mr. Paul Ginnis, a renowned international education consultant, hosted ISHCMC workshops for teachers. This built on their knowledge of constructive pedagogy, linked to our new mission statement of energizing, engaging and empowering, this is being further developed during our Thursday morning sessions. New families and students were welcomed to the Orientation on 9th August by teachers and administration for a meet and greet. New families received their welcome packs, met with the PTO and purchased their Rhino merchandise. All students and parents were welcomed on the first day of school, 11th August 2014 and greeted by Simon, Adrian, teachers and the ISHCMC Rhino. After classroom drop off was completed, new parents were able to meet with the PTO, other parents and Administraors over a coffee in the Rhino Hut area. Our Early Explorers and Kindergarten students have had an exciting start to the year, taking advantage of their new refurbished classroom and play areas. We are pleased to have our Early Explorers all together on our main campus. The new beautiful, bright and spacious areas are a great addition to ISHCMC. Our KG students have been building castles, we have budding artists and they are thoroughly enjoying their new learning spaces. For any parents wishing to contact us for further details to tour or enroll 2 year to 5 year old siblings in this area, please contact directly to Christine or Thu at the Admissions Office.
