Die Cut Varnish Gloss - Full or spot Embossing and Debossing Perfuration Paper texture

Starting This stage is useful for graphic presentation, this is a smart 3d object, that you can scale the amount you need, there no limit. For a web or printing project, from 72 dpi to 300 dpi. The resolution will be in the file you upload. You can start from this blank file if you are an expert or open any other file from this tutorial. Before you do anything confirm the render settings - should be INTERACTIVE

Scale Use de cube in the center of the 3d tool to scale the stage, with the mouse, click and move to the left to see the object getting closer. (You can see also the 3d guide) You can use any of this tools to reposition your scene, they are in the tool bar

Loading To start loading your pictures go to 3D window > Material > Poster > Diffuse > LOAD TEXTURE, your picture should always be inserted in a square

Opacity Now you gone load a mask with the actual shape of your project, place your art in middle of the square shape, paint in black what you want to hide leave white what you want to see. (as the Mask) If you upload your art with the 1000x1000px, size all the maps should have the same size. Diffuse - RGB file with your picture Opacity - Grey file with the picture shape

Die Cut To make a special shape in your picture load this special shape in opacity panel

Embossing and Debossing To raise up or down a surface, we use the same method as we use in opacity, white will raise up the surface and black will pull down. If you want to use both in same surface, embossing and debossing, you should use a grey color 50% black for the flat surface. You can control intensity 1>10 You should also blur for better results

Varnish To simulate Varnish Gloss, we have to upload a environment map, to reflect it. Look in internet for hdri maps, could be studio lighting, interior scene or exterior or you can download here http://kraphik3d.com/ wordpress/?page_id=87 Set the reflection value to 20% This is the only map that don’t need to be square

Spot UV To simulate Spot UV you only need to load one extra map with the mask shape. this map replaces the value entered, so the zone without varnish is black and that area with varnish make a 20% black

Raise To raise a surface from the floor you just need to mask the area between the floor and the inferior margin of your picture
