There are 2 models, DROP (1 -3) and FLYING (4 -6), each model have 3 different ground fittings. Also in this set, 2 REFERENCE MAPS (7-8) to help you customizing your flag. In the FLYING model you will find 4 masks to reshape it. (9)

STARTING

To start customization any of these models go to the render settings and change quality to INTERACTIVE PAINTING (4) Follow the magenta dots

NEW FLAG

To change the FLAG picture go to 3D materials panel and follow the magenta dots. At Diffuse (3) open texture...

PLACING A NEW FLAG

FLAG COLOR LAYER - Replace this picture by yours (1), place bellow Flag wrinkles layer, close and save. At this level you can control the intensity of the flag WRINKLES LAYER, remove or made your own. LAYER FORM FLAG - This layer is for reference only, your banner must fit within the darker pink area.

PLACING A PICTURE IN THE FLOOR 1

Select FLOOR(1), then DIFFUSE(2) NEW TEXTURE, make a new floor file - 500x500 px (3), close and save...

PLACING A PICTURE IN THE FLOOR 2

Go back again to Diffuse then open texture (2) place your picture (3), close and save. If you are not satisfied with the result reopen, change, scale ... make the changes you need.

PLACING A BACKGROUND PICTURE

Go to layers and place a background picture behind the flag model

3 6 4 CHANGING LIGHT ORIENTATION

There are two lights in this scene, the top light is the Key Light (Main Light) if you don’t see the lights click in (3) then in (4), after go to your scene (5) to change light position. The second light is the Fill Light, ( to control the shadows intensity) to change repeat the same steps.

HARD / SOFT SHADOWS

You can disable shadows, make then with hard edge or soft edge by inserting a value in softness - 100% is soft, 0% is hard (6)

TESTING YOUR SCENE

Before we finish the scene, we must test to see if looks good, we must do a rendering test. Go to 3D scene and set render quality to DRAFT, let the software render the scene.

FINISHING 1

To finish customization go to the render settings and change quality to RAY TRACED FINAL...Wait same minutes to see the final result, if you are not happy, change render quality to interactive and start customization again.

MORE ADJUSTMENTS

To improve the quality of your scene, you must duplicate the layer with the 3d FLAG model then RASTERIZE 3D, (4) now is possible to make further enchantments.

REMOVING GROUND

Select FLOOR(1), then OPACITY(2) Remove texture, then set Opacity value to 0%

CHANGING THE FLAG SHAPE

This is only for the FLYING FLAG. To change the FLAG SHAPE Select BOW FLAG —OPACITY —LOAD TEXTURE—pick one file in OPACITY SHAPE MASK folder included in this set, or make yours.
