01_Customizing picking a layout 2 LAYOUTS To start your customization pick one of the 2 layouts avalliable. If you don’t need the floor layer you can use any of this layouts, the floor is easy to remove an I will explain in chapter 17. You will find in this set a P3M material icon with materials finishes, see chapter 2 to upload these materials.

FINISHES There are 6 materials included in the P3M file, the first is the Lid material, and the others 5 for the bottle body.
Material 2 and 3 are recommend for full bottle label. Material 4, 5 and 6 are metalic colors they look good when
placing a logo leaving the metalic finishes visible.

First, double click in the 3d icon (1) to activate the 3d controls, click on the 3d materials icon (2) select the bottle part you want to customize (3), then click on the
arrow (4) to see the materials list pick the second material (5), you can try with all others materials. The first material you should use for the Lid.

05_Customizing placing your artwork With the bottle selected (1) go to diffuse and click on the texture icon (2) in the texture list select open texture (3)...

06_Customizing placing your artwork ...you will open a photoshop file with 2 layers, the top layer is the material color (1), if you change this layer the bottle color will change color too. In
the layer bellow you will see a layer with a reference map (2) this will help you, placing your artwork correctly, the purple area is where you place your label,

if you hide the top layer (3) click specific parts this water bottle. on the eye icon to make this layer Your art should be placed on top invisible, then close and save this of the reference map layer. file, the bottle should look like the picture bellow, each color covers
07_Customizing placing your artwork Above the reference layer I place a fill color to cover all bottle surface (1) and on top of this I placed my artwork (2), close and save.

You have finished the bottle customization, in next step we start customization the floor and background
08_Customizing floor To change floor color, in the materials panel, select floor (1) then diffuse box (2) it will open the diffuse color window (3), pick a color.

09_Customizing floor reflection To control the floor reflection, leave the floor selected (1), then go to reflection (2) insert a value bigger than zero, then go scene window (3), (4)

Quality - Ray Traced Draft (5), leave the blue boxes complete the render, to stop click on the picture. Now you can see reflection and hard shadows.

10_Customizing making soft shadows To soften the shadows go to the 3d lights panel(1) select main light(2) then in softness insert the value 100. Let the software make a new render, it will take
more time to render. To brighten the shadows we have to reorient the second light to iluminate this area.

11_Customizing lighting the shadows To brighten the shadows go to the 3d lights panel(1) select secondary light(2) then rotation lights icon(3) remove shadows(4), show 3d lights(5) then with the
mouse click in top 3d light to reorient the secondary light(6) towards the bottle. Reduce the light intensity to 0.2 and let the software render again.

12_Customizing fade floor edges To blend the floor with the background we need to fade the floor edges, to do that go to the 3d materials panel(1), select floor(2) in opacity(3) select new
texture make a 500x500pixels texture click ok (4)

13_Customizing fade floor edges With floor selected(1) go again to the opacity layer select open texture(2) draw a circle in the middle, fill all around with black (3), then apply filter - Gaussian
Blur - set radius to 40 pixels (4), close and save, now the floor edges fade to the background(5)

14_Customizing placing a background With eyedropper select the same gradient tool fill it color of the floor, select also a darker tone from this color, create a new layer, place bellow the 3d bottle(1) and with the

15_Customizing bottle rotation with the 3d tool rotate(2) the bottle for a better angle view

16_Customizing final render To generate the final picture go to the 3d scene(1) select scene(2) then Ray Traced Final(3), it will take several minutes to render the final picture

17_Customizing removing floor If you just need the bottle without floor, follow this steps, first change render setting to interactive(1) you should always leave the render
quality to interactive during the customization process. Then go 3d materials list(2) select floor(3) in opacity remove texture(4) and set the opacity
