Higher Education (HE) students
The course costs in this guide include tuition fees and registration/exam fees where applicable to the course. Some courses will incur additional costs for things like equipment, uniforms and resources. For more information on these additional costs please contact Admissions on 01495 333777.
HE fees are determined by the University that the course is franchised through. Some HE courses are available in modular format with the cost determined for each 20 credit module. Please check the fees with the Admissions team and ensure that if you are planning on applying for help with your fees that you apply promptly to your LEA or Student Finance Wales. Please see our separate HE Guide for full details of our HE courses.

Overseas students
Students who are in receipt of certain benefits may not have to pay the full tuition fee but you may have to pay registration/exam fees where applicable.
•
There are no tuition fees for the majority of part time courses for UK students who have finished their compulsory education and are under 19 on 1 September 2014. However you would have to pay any registration/exam fees.
•
Basic Skills and ESOL courses are free to home learners at Entry Level 1, 2 & 3 and Level 1 & 2. This does not apply to learners entering the UK on a learner visa, temporary visitors and workers on short term visas. ESOL and EFL fees where applicable will be agreed on application.
•
For two year courses the fee quoted is for study in 2014/15 only. Further fees will be payable for study in 2015/16 and are subject to change.
For part time overseas FE students there is a charge of £11 per course hour. For example, an overseas student on an A Level course for 3 hours per week for 34 weeks will pay £1,122 (3 x £11 x 34). You will have to pay any registration/exam fees. For more information on fees and financial support visit www.coleggwent.ac.uk Other Costs Students on some specialist courses may have to buy certain items of equipment, such as specialist clothing. Details will be given at the time of enrolment. Please note that learners accessing Care courses that require an element of work placement will be required to pay the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) fee. This may change on a yearly basis, but for 2013/14 was £44.

3. Call in person or phone us and we will take your payment to secure your place on the course

4. If you are entitled to a fee waiver you will need to pay registration and exam fees when booking
Friday 8.30am-4.00pm
5. Turn up on the first date of your course with the following:
In person: At any of our 5 Coleg Gwent Campuses Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm
• Personal details (including full postal address) • Photo ID (driving licence/passport) • Means of payment (debit/credit card, bank details) if you are applying on the day • National Insurance number (found on payslips, NI card) • Employer details if your employer is paying your fees • Appropriate evidence for fee waivers (Working Tax Credits, Income Support) *If your chosen course is marked with a * you will need to complete an application form and attend a Programme Advice and Guidance appointment prior to enrolling Don’t leave it too late!
