Use home and familiar settings to find examples of art used to express ideas and feelings. Encourage your child to record in writing, through drawing, sculpture and or movement and sound his/her feelings and ideas. Suggest that s/he uses a journal at home to enter examples of feelings and how s/he thinks these could be expressed. Take your child to visit one of the many art museums, galleries, concert halls in town and enjoy an art experience together.
