Recreation Skating

Beginner Skate:

A slower-paced time for people to practice their skating basics. Skating aids are allowed during this skate.

Helmets are recommended.

Family Skate:

A special time for parents and children (17 yrs. of age & under) to enjoy a skate together.

Parent & Tot Skate:

Free Fun time for parents & pre-school children to learn how to skate. Helmets are recommended.

Public Skate:

A skate open to everyone to enjoy.

Senior Skate:

A skate open for everyone 55 years and over.

Admission Fees (Effective September 1st) Recreation Skate Single Admission

Adult (17 & older) $5.25 Youth (3 - 17 years) $4.00 Under 3 Free

Senior (55+) Family $4.00 $12.75

Due to the uncertainty of our current and future arena programming caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, public skate passes will not be available for purchase until further notice.

This includes the following skate pass types: • All seasonal recreation skate passes • All seasonal and annual shinny passes • All punch passes

Though current punch passes will be accepted at the arenas, newly issued punch passes are not currently being sold.

COVID-19 Affected Programming

- The number of drop-in skating participants will be limited at all public skating events.

-Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be no adult, senior or youth shinny hockey public programming until further notice.

-Masks MUST be worn in facilities at all times when not on the ice surface as per Bylaw 6329 unless exempt.

Pass Definitions

Family:

Parents/guardians (2) and children (17 years of age or younger) residing in the same household permanently.

One Parent Family:

“One” specific parent/guardian with children (17 years of age or younger) residing in the same household. The pass is NOT transferable to another parent/guardian.
