King Street and the Waterfront in Alexandria, Virginia connects Old Town and functions as the primary location of activity in the city. The following images showcase the heart of Alexandria and the personal interactions within it. The people of Alexandria function as the nexus that creates the atmosphere of the city. Although sometimes they are bounded by their own distractions or disconnections, these personal interactions within the urban fabric is what creates the atmosphere of Alexandria. Through these interactions, the pedestrian becomes the link that holds the city together.
