On July 8th 2016, the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh opened a range of new galleries exploring the worlds of science, technology, art, design and fashion. Costing some £14m and designed by Metaphor Museum Design, these are the second phase to be completed in the Museum’s Master Plan for the Chambers Street site. I was fortunate to be commissioned by Metaphor to photograph the new galleries and to capture visitors’ reactions on the opening day. Colin McLean
