HOW TO GET INTO COLLEGE

Admissions Chat

Approaching admissions officers is a good opportunity to interact with a person from the school and ask questions that relate to you. It is important to research the colleges first and use that knowledge to ask specific questions. This conversation is an opportunity to find out if the school can meet your needs academically, financially, socially, culturally, and spiritually. This is a chance for you to gain more knowledge and have the college representative impress you!

Chances are, you will encounter an admission officer at some point in the college process, whether that be on campus or at a college fair. Make an impression by introducing yourself and shaking their hand. Be yourself--the admissions person is probably used to talkative and shy students. If you are not sure what to ask, we provided a list of great questions on the next page. Once you have your questions answered, thank them for their time, and maybe take a free pen!
