Parent and Family Involvement

Parents, you can be an LMU advocate in many ways: by helping welcome new students, attending or hosting LMU gatherings in your area, serving as a volunteer, or supporting the university philanthropically!

Lion Family Welcomes

(July–August 2021) These celebrations are hosted by LMU families and are held regionally for incoming students and their families.

Parent Socials

(throughout the year) Parents have the opportunity to host or attend a parent-led meet up. These programs give Lion parents the opportunity to connect with each other regionally.

LMU Family Weekend

(February 2022) LMU Family Weekend is an annual event that allows family members to experience life on the bluff. Attendees get a chance to visit with their students, attend a basketball game, and experience all that being an LMU student has to offer.

Spring Welcome

(April 2022) Members of the Parent Council support this program by meeting newly admitted families, sharing their LMU experiences and offering parent-to-parent advice.
