Pepperdine Parents and Families
By connecting parents and family members to resources, special events, and important information related to the University, Pepperdine ensures parents are actively involved in their student’s Pepperdine journey.
Pepperdine Parent and Family Network
As a part of the larger Pepperdine Network including alumni, students, and parents, the Pepperdine Parent Network (PPN) is a no-cost membership association and serves as a vehicle for parents and families of both current and former students who want to connect with Pepperdine on a deeper level. The PPN fosters a community of volunteerism and offers opportunities to engage with Pepperdine through service, spiritual life, sponsorship, and support. Members are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents and are also invited to a variety of campus programs and special events. As a way to stay informed and connected with the most up-to-date information, members will receive timely newsletters.
Association members:
• Serve as volunteers, hosts, and ambassadors
• Pray for the spiritual formation of the Pepperdine community • Encourage parents and families to sponsor and connect our students to professional opportunities in their places of employment • Encourage parents’ philanthropic support of Pepperdine through the Parent Family Leadership
Council (PFLC).
Parent and Family Leadership Council
The PFLC is a select group of dedicated parents and family members who serve as ambassadors to the Pepperdine family community and provide philanthropic support for students at Pepperdine. Through meetings and activities, members explore the council’s philanthropic initiatives and share this information with the broader parent community. Annual commitments to PFLC begin at $1,000 and are designated to specific projects identified as priorities by University leadership. For more on membership levels and how to join the PFLC, please contact us at (310) 506-6110 or visit seaver.pepperdine.edu/ parents/parents-andfamily-leadership-council.
NOTE: These parent and family groups are not responsible for operational communications between parents/family members and the five Pepperdine schools’ administrations. However, the Parent and Family Program Staff are pleased to assist as ambassadors and liaisons, building relationships and introducing parents and family members to departments with answers to operational questions.
