The 2014 Festival of Dinners The Friends of the Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts are pleased to present your Passport for the upcoming season. Revel in outstanding music during the 38th season of the Colorado Music Festival at Chautauqua, where world-class musicians come to play. And just as our summer concert season offers something for everyone, so does this year’s Festival of Dinners. All proceeds benefit the Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts. Working with local chefs and businesses, hosts have planned dinners and other special events. Whatever your passion, you can find it at the Festival of Dinners – gourmet cuisine, fine wines, music, fashion, and much more. On opening night we are again sponsoring the popular Picnic in the Park in the pavilion just behind the concert hall. Chef Brian Horton of The Chautauqua Dining Hall will prepare a summer buffet featuring the best of the season's produce from the Three Leaf Farm, as well as its signature salmon. Join us for a grand opening to the season. This Passport is your ticket to a whirlwind of summer adventure! Space is limited, so please plan your itinerary and make your reservations early. Three Ways to Make Reservations 1. Make your reservations for events on our website at www.comusic.org. Click on Festival of Dinners in the upper right corner. 2. Call the CMF Office at 303-449-1397 and use a credit card. 3. Visit the CMF Summer Office in Cottage 200, directly north of the Community House and pay by check or credit card. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. throughout the concert season. We do not accept reservations made by e-mail or mail. Payment must be made at the time the reservation is made and is non-refundable. Events close for reservations three days prior to the date of the event. We urge you to make your reservations as soon as possible, since each event has a limited capacity. We understand that our guests may have dietary preferences and restrictions. Please choose dinners that best suit your needs. Chefs cannot provide exceptions to the published menus. English conductor William Boughton has conducted many of the world’s leading orchestras, from San Francisco to Helsinki. As founder and Artistic and Music Director of the English Symphony Orchestra, he developed the orchestra’s repertoire from classics to contemporary music. He is currently the Music Director of the New Haven Symphony. Mexican conductor and violinist Carlos Miguel Prieto is Music Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Mexico and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería, the YOA Orchestra of the Americas, and the Louisiana Philharmonic. He has guest conducted numerous orchestras in the U.S. including the Chicago and Colorado symphonies. Canadian conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni is one of Canada’s brightest young conductors, with repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary music. He is Music Director of the Columbus Symphony, I Musici de Montréal, and Principal Guest Conductor of Les Violins du Roy. He is a frequent guest conductor for orchestras across the U.S. and Canada.
