In the past years the heat-treated Ni-Ti rotary files have become a gold standard in endodontics. However, heat-treated nickel-titanium endodontic instruments produced with the electro discharged machining are on a completely another level offering some unparalleled properties. Scientific studies show surprisingly high values of cyclic fatigue resistance, increased cutting efficiency and increased wear resistance with low degradation. The HyFlex EDM files systems offer the user a simple, predictable, safe, and cost-effective instrumentation in all clinical types of root canals, form straight to severely curved. The new OGSF sequence makes it possible to enlarge the root canal in a minimally invasive way to 30/0.04, making the EDM system even more versatile. If needed the root canals can be enlarged with EDM Hyflex 40/0.04, and further with the reducing taper from 50/0.03 to the file size up to 60/0.02 without loosing on the flexibility of the files to best preserve the original shape of the root canal all the way to the apex. Pre-bending the controlled memory EDM files also offers a simple management for by-passing ledges previously formed in the root canal. The HyFlex EDM system is the system of choice for beginners and advanced users.

Controlled Memory NiTi Files have been manufactured utilizing a unique process that controls the material’s memory. This gives the file the ability to follow the anatomy of the canal very closely, reducing the risk of ledging, transportation or perforation. The files can be pre-bent, to allow for easy insertion into canals with limited opening.
