Daily trail user fees are kept to a minimal $25 fee and help to fund much of the operational costs associated with managing the four snowmobile areas including the superb grooming program that Sicamous is known for. All four of the snowmobiling areas offer cozy cabins to warm up in, enjoy your lunch and share sledding stories with other riders. These cabins are maintained by the dedicated volunteers of the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club. A huge amount of work is undertaken each year at the cabins including interior and exterior cabin upkeep, stocking of firewood and general tidy up. If you are interested in helping out our work bees, contact the Club. Parking lot upgrades have been completed at Eagle Pass and Owlhead staging areas and include bigger turn-around areas with more vehicle and large trailer parking space. For more information on Sicamous and the great sledding opportunities in this area please visit www.sledsicamous.com Sicamous is a “recreation destination for all four seasons”. WITH GROOMED TRAILS Sicamous and the Eagle Valley hosts some of the greatest alpine snowmobiling in Western Canada with deep powder, steep terrain, powder filled bowls, endless meadows and spectacular views of Mara and Shuswap Lakes. Sledders venturing to the Sicamous area will enjoy quick and easy access to ‘four’ outstanding mountains that offer a large assortment of sledding terrain. The trail heads that lead to the sledding areas of Owlhead and Queest are conveniently located within the community, while Blue Lake and Eagle Pass trail heads are within 20 minutes from Sicamous. These four snowmobiling areas are accessed by forest service roads that are carefully groomed and well-marked. The trails to riding areas are approximately 25kms and are groomed on a regular schedule. After the cabins, the snowmobiling areas are uncontrolled and unmarked. The groomed trails and snow filled mountain meadows at Blue Lake, Owlhead and Queest areas will cater to both families and the novice sledders. For the more experienced riders, all four of these mountains offer an unlimited variety of challenging, technical and extreme riding with steep terrain, intermediate chutes and deep powder. The sledsicamous.com website explains more about the variety of snowmobiling at each area and offers tips for deciding on the area best suited to your sledding skills.

Your membership with the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club includes an Annual Trail Pass enabling you to access the groomed trails on Blue Lake, Eagle Pass, Owlhead and Queest without paying the daily trail pass fee. Membership fees fund the grooming program, chalet maintenance, trail signage and trail improvements. A Little Bit of History
As far back as our records show from 1958, these trails were voluntarily groomed by club members who initially dragged boards behind their snowmobiles to flatten out the moguls. The Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club members groom the trails, maintain the cabins and promote safe, responsible snowmobiling. This exceptional grooming program combined with the natural beauty of the area has won multiple awards in Canada’s premiere snowmobiling magazine (SnoRiders) including awards for best snowmobiling area in BC. OUTDOOR PARADISE! Voted as the “Favourite area for family snowmobiling destination area in BC.” -SNORIDERS MAGAZINE
The sledding season starts about the first of December and ends around mid April. For the most avid sledders, sledding can start in November and continue through to the May Long Weekend. There are even rumours of sledders on the snow covered hills in July! Where else can you sled in the morning, golf in the afternoon and go boating in the evening?! All FOUR sledding areas are accessed by Forest Service Roads (FSRs) that are carefully groomed. All four of our sledding areas offer comfortable cabins for shelter. Sledders can choose from a wide range of terrain to suit any level, with groomed trails and snow-filled meadows for family and novice sledders to challenging steep terrain and deep powder for more experienced riders. Sicamous is one of the most popular places to stay and play in the winter. Come and check us out!
