LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Dear CSG Community, My first year as Head of School was marked by joyous celebration. From the Kirk Campus turf unveiling, to the Power & Promise Festival, to our Big and Little Sister events, we truly embodied the year’s theme, Community By Design. As we sang, danced, and laughed together, we built upon the rich bonds of sisterhood that are a treasured hallmark of girls’ schools. I am proud of the ways in which we continued to strengthen our culture of belonging while also building upon our nearly 125-year legacy of academic excellence. This is an exciting time for CSG, and as we look ahead, I anticipate great things to come from our newly created Institute for Innovation & Leadership, and I look forward to the ways in which our six Center Directors will work to create original programming, curricular resources, and strategic partnerships to help our students expand their distinct potential as learners and leaders. As we worked to evolve our academic landscape to continue meeting the ever-changing needs of our students, we focused on our physical landscape too. Our Form VII students have begun working in our new Learning Garden, funded by an anonymous donor and installed this past May in our Spirit Courtyard. I enjoyed seeing the ways in which they worked together, trowels in hand, to plant seedlings that can now grow along with them this school year. This past school year, we also joined together at Kirk Campus to celebrate the completion of our new artificial turf field, made possible through $1.1 million in donations from the CSG community. This improvement was a much-needed upgrade to Kirk Campus, and the state-of-the-art playing surface has helped increase our performance on the field. I’m proud to share that our Upper School lacrosse team finished out their season at 13-5, with a stellar playoff run and several students earning top MSL honors! Our students shone this past school year on the turf field, as well as on courts and tracks and in swimming pools. They placed at state championships, earned MSL honors, and set school records. They showed mental as well as athletic prowess, earning top awards in a Congressional Art Competition and a state Poetry Out Loud competition, winning an oratorical contest, and earning top accolades in the arenas of musical performance, creative writing, and more. Whether they were assembling and programming robots, representing CSG at finance competitions, or creating art inspired by visits to Cynthia’s Woods, our students were strong examples of what it means when a girl finds her voice and knows her power. In particular, I am so incredibly proud of the Class of 2023. Nearly 80% of them are attending out-ofstate academic institutions, and as a class, they earned $6 million in scholarship offers. Our mission of empowering girls to discover their distinct potential as learners and leaders could not be carried out without the efforts of our faculty members. Their achievements this past school year have been a testament to their love for teaching and learning, and I am proud of the ways in which they have demonstrated the expertise they show in the classroom to a wider community. We accomplished a great deal together this past school year, and there is still much to look forward to this school year. As we celebrate our 125th anniversary, we do so inspired by this school year’s theme, An Anchored Legacy for a Bold Future. I am excited to honor our rich history as we move together into this bold and bright next chapter for CSG. As always, I stand with you all, proud to call myself a Unicorn! In Strength and Grace,

Camille J.L. Seals Head of School

CSG comes together for Scholarship Walk

This past school year’s Scholarship Walk, themed LEGO: Building our Future Brick by Brick, was a great success. The day kicked off with doughnuts and an all-school dance party on and around the Mansion veranda. Our PYC 3/4 and 4/5 students were the first ones out of the gate as they walked along the sidewalks surrounding CSG’s main campus. Middle and Upper School students headed west on Broad Street and walked to Kirk Campus following the Alum Creek Trail. They arrived at Kirk to find the PYC 5/6 class and Lower School students walking, running, and skipping laps around the track. The girls enjoyed lunch and games with their big and little sisters, and students from Upper School physics classes dazzled and delighted as they tested and launched their model rockets. Big thanks to the Upper School Scholarship Walk Committee and all the volunteers who made the day a huge success!

The CSG Middle School Theater program, The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet, was held May 5 and 6 in the Agnes Jeffrey Shedd Theater. This short and silly version of Romeo and Juliet was written in the style of Dr. Seuss—the playwright took out the horrible tragedy and replaced it with ridiculous comedy.

Significantly CSG The Class of 2024: Blazer Ceremony For the first time, CSG held a Blazer Ceremony for Form XI students to recognize them as rising seniors. On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 2, the junior students’ parents and guardians gathered in the Agnes Jeffrey Shedd Theater alongside Form IX and X students and Upper School faculty and staff to watch each Form XI student receive a special blazer. The event was inspired by similar kinds of ceremonies held at other independent schools to honor and celebrate student milestones and new leadership roles. While CSG has a rich tradition of recognizing our seniors, this was a day for the junior class to truly envision themselves as the new leaders of the Upper School and the larger school community.

After the ceremony concluded, attendees gathered for a small reception for the Class of 2024, and students were able to celebrate with photos of their new attire. The blazers are now a new item in students’ official uniform, and the Class of 2024 wears them in place of their traditional cardigans. A sense of excitement and joy was palpable during the event, with students proudly displaying their blazers and taking selfies with Team Red sunglasses.

Junior leadership shared words during the ceremony, including Elizabeth Burgess ‘24, who was at that time Student Council President-Elect. As each member of the junior class was called to the stage, she left her cardigan behind and donned a new blazer with help from the Class of 2024 faculty advisors. The ceremony was symbolic of both the growth of each student and of the guiding, supportive roles faculty members will continue to play as the students progress through their final academic year at CSG. The Class of 2024 poses with their blazers.

COMMENCEMENT

Opening Doors: CSG alum Anastasia Staten ’98 has dedicated her career to lifting others up Since the beginning of her career, opportunities and access have played a major role in the kinds of jobs Anastasia Staten ’98 has taken on. After starting out her career in political campaign finance, Anastasia soon realized that nonprofit work was her true passion, and she has stayed in that arena ever since. Over the course of the last 20 years, she has held executive management roles championing causes ranging from civil rights and civil liberties to medical research to increasing diversity in technology. As the Executive Director of the ESA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the video game industry that provides scholarships and educational experiences in STEM, Anastasia helps provide young people with access to opportunities and resources they might not otherwise have. “Coming from a place of understanding, and having had the benefit of a CSG education and experience, I’ve wanted to make sure others have access to financial opportunities that allow them to focus on developing their technical, creative, and real-life skills,” Anastasia said. By attending some of the best video game development schools, students are gaining access to an education that could later lead to industry jobs. In a similar way, Anastasia gained invaluable opportunities when she joined CSG in 7th grade, at the suggestion of her 4th grade teacher’s husband, who was aware of the School’s scholarship program and confident that it was an environment in which she would thrive. “Once I arrived at CSG, I quickly became aware of all the opportunities it was providing me that I could not get in other educational settings,” Anastasia said.

variety of activities including Yearbook Club and athletics such as lacrosse and field hockey. “Because there were so many opportunities, it helped to prepare me to take advantage of opportunities later in life—opportunities that led to more, and bigger, responsibilities,” Anastasia said. For her Senior May Program, Anastasia worked for Lee Fisher and Michael Coleman’s campaign for Ohio Governor and Lt. Governor, respectively. After graduating from CSG, she studied International Relations at The Ohio State University. After her campaign finance work for Fisher and Coleman grew into a full-time role, Anastasia entered the political arena in

POWER & PROMISE

Showing Gratitude: The Power & Promise Festival To thank our community for raising over $17 million through the Power & Promise fundraising campaign to support CSG’s people and programs, our School held a community-wide festival on April 29. The afternoon was filled with sunshine, smiles, and laughter. Families enjoyed bounce houses, slides, and inflatable obstacle courses, as well as face painting, games, food trucks, and more. The day truly was an example of the CSG spirit!

Mission Founders Genera tions

Columbus School for Girls welcomes our entire community—students, parents, alumnae, faculty and staff, and friends—to celebrate the School’s 125th anniversary. While the world has changed dramatically in the century and a quarter since the School’s founding, the need for an all-girls environment specifically designed and curated to support and empower young women remains. CSG’s quasquicentennial celebrations are centered around three truths about Columbus School for Girls:

We have one mission. For 125 years, Columbus School for Girls has empowered girls and young women to discover their distinct potential as learners and leaders. This mission has guided our principles and actions throughout our history and leads us forward into the future.

We have two founders. On September 22, 1898, Mary Bole Scott and Florence Kelley established Columbus School for Girls, the first all-girl college preparatory school in Franklin County, a radical notion at the time. CSG began as a humble space where two revolutionary women led a small classroom of girls daring to learn more and do more, and the School continues to build upon its forward-looking legacy by creating cutting-edge programs and curricula that pave the way for today’s learners and tomorrow’s leaders.

We have seen five genera tions. Every 25 years, CSG has welcomed a new generation of students. With five generations and 125 years in our history, we have seen over 4,000 fierce students-turned-graduates learn to know their power and use their voices. As we recognize the 125 years of impact our beloved school has had and will have on generations of girls and young women, we ask that you join us in remembrance, in gratitude, and in celebration. Please read on to learn more about our festivities, ways to give back, and how to support our current and future students.

HEAR FROM 5TH GENERATION AND 1ST GENERATION CSG STUDENTS

&

Living Legacies

Columbus School for Girls’ students come from all walks of life because CSG offers cutting-edge curricula and transformative programs that attract and engage the best and brightest students, whether they are scientists, poets, athletes, or all of the above and more. In recognition of the School’s history of fostering generations of empowered young women and attracting new, exceptional students, we interviewed 5th generation and 1st generation students to hear why they think CSG is such a special place.

5th Generation Students Emma Sullivan Emma, Class of 2028, began attending CSG in the PYC as a 3/4 student, but her connection to CSG started with two of her great-great-grandmothers, Fannie Fullerton Miller, class of 1900, and Mary Elizabeth White Sayre, Class of 1914! Emma’s two great-grandmothers, Dixie Sayre Miller ’40 and Shirle Nesbitt Westwater ’36; her grandmother, Lisa Miller Westwater ’71; and her mother, Amy Westwater Sullivan ’99, also attended CSG. Being a student at CSG has changed over the years for this family, but one thing that remains constant over the generations is the strong relationships that each woman has fostered. For Emma, the Red and Gold activities and the Big-Little Sis events have been particular favorites of her time at CSG so far. Since starting school here as a PYC student, Emma has learned how to adeptly manage her time and has formed excellent study habits. And the all-girl environment has helped her understand the value of a woman’s education and the value of lifting up and supporting other girls and young women. “CSG has helped shape me into a person who appreciates the value of a great education.”

Mari Westwater Mari, Class of 2030, joined CSG in the PYC as a 3/4 student, the fifth generation in her family to attend the school. She was preceded by her aunt, Ann Westwater ’01; her grandmother, Beth Crane ’69; her great-grandmother, Ann Burba Crane ’44; and her great-great-grandmother, Elizabeth Willcox Burba 1919. In the hallway featuring photos of graduating classes, Mari has enjoyed finding her grandmother’s picture on the wall. Mari also learned from her grandmother how CSG has changed since her graduation in 1969. The clothes were different from what the current students wear; girls wore tunics and skirts and had fewer

New Beginnings

uniform options. Beth walked halls of wood and tile instead of the carpet and learned from chalkboards instead of whiteboards and smartboards. As a Form IV student, Mari had the opportunity to show her grandma her classrooms during Grandparents and Special Friends Day. The visit was especially enjoyable for Beth, since she had also taught Form IV students here. Now graduated from Form V, Mari can look back and see all that she’s learned so far from her time at CSG. She’s learned how to take responsibility for her own actions. Her time at Cynthia’s Woods has taught her to appreciate nature and treat plants and animals with respect. And she’s especially enjoyed the field trips, especially the most recent trip to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. “It’s a very special school for me.”

Zara MacPhail Zara, Class of 2033, joined CSG in the PYC as a 3/4 student. Her aunt, Elinor MacPhail ’09; her grandmother, Sally Crane Cox ’75; great-grandmother, Ann Burba Crane ’44; and great-great-grandmother, Elizabeth Willcox Burba, Class of 1919, all attended CSG. This past Grandparents and Special Friends Day, Zara had the opportunity to show her grandma, Sally, what she had been doing in her classes. The two also looked at Sally’s class photo together. Zara enjoys the opportunities CSG gives her to be outside. She is grateful for the playground, as well as the opportunity to visit Cynthia’s Woods, where she likes to find salamanders. She also enjoyed a field trip to Slate Run Historical Farm. Her time at CSG has also helped her develop her mind in important ways. Zara’s grown into a better reader, and she’s learned the value and importance of honesty. She has also learned to be more perseverant when faced with challenges. When faced with hard things, “now I decide to keep going and keep trying.”

Adelaide Osinski Through marriage, Adelaide, Class of 2036, is the granddaughter of Beth Crane ’69 and continues Beth’s long legacy as the granddaughter of Elizabeth Willcox Burba, Class of 1919, the daughter of Ann Burba Crane ’44, and the mother of Ann Westwater ’01, among the other relatives. As a student in the Program for Young Children, Adelaide has made herself at home in the PYC, and she enjoys spending time outside in the playscape sliding down the slide as well as using her imagination indoors with the many materials available to students. When the PYC visits Cynthia’s Woods, Adelaide likes to explore near the creek and hop on the rocks. She also especially enjoyed participating in the Jingle Bell Run and Turkey Trot this past school year. “I am an artist, a unicorn, a girl, and a big sister.” FORTE ET GRATUM • SUMMER/FALL 2023

125TH ANNIVERSARY

1st Generation Students Samantha Morris When Samantha, Class of 2025, wasn’t feeling challenged by her middle school curriculum, she joined CSG in the 8th grade in search of opportunities that would push her academically and a stronger and more supportive community. She found both at CSG, where her experiences helped increase her confidence, strengthen her leadership skills, and embrace her authenticity. She grew into a student unafraid of raising her hand during class or speaking in front of her community. She learned that asking for help is okay, and even encouraged. Before she came to CSG, Samantha was a quiet student who didn’t embrace opportunities to apply her skills and talents outside of the classroom. Now, she has embraced helping fellow students through tutoring. Samantha loves the sense of belonging she has found at CSG, and was especially excited that her younger sister, Sydney ’28 decided to join her here. “I love the tight-knit community at CSG. These girls truly become your sisters, and your teachers become your mentors for life.”

Madisyn Kim Madi, Class of 2024, has attended CSG since preschool, when her mother wanted her daughter to attend an educational institution that balanced academic rigor with creativity and joy. Over the years, the all-girl educational environment has helped Madi become more confident and empowered her to move out of her comfort zone to achieve her goals. She has learned how to speak up for herself as well as how to listen to others. Over the years, she has grown to realize that through hard work and time management, she can accomplish most anything she sets her mind to. While CSG’s academic program has helped Madi develop a strong work ethic, she has also taken much from being part of our School’s robust community. Her teachers have shown her how to help others through their diligent work on behalf of their students, and her friends have provided ongoing support and encouragement. Madi especially enjoys CSG’s traditions, including Commencement, Thanksgiving Day and MLK programs, Scholarship Walk, and Big-Little Sis activities. “CSG has shaped me into the person I am today through the relationships that I have created and also the community I see every day.”

Anna Carey Anna, Class of 2024, joined CSG her freshman year of high school, because she knew our School would help her grow both as a student and a person and pursue a variety of interests. Anna has especially enjoyed how much CSG emphasizes collaboration and exploration. As a student, she has felt grateful for the opportunity to explore a variety of interests independently and with others in a community that celebrates and values everyone’s unique abilities. She has also appreciated how deeply her teachers care about student well-being and success. During her time here, CSG has helped shape her into the person she is today by giving her the opportunity to explore a variety of passions and interests. Anna has pursued the arts, found a love for law through Mock Trial, and unlocked her leadership abilities

125TH ANNIVERSARY via Gold Key and Honor Council. Her experiences have made her a more wellrounded person and a better global citizen. She has also grown more comfortable with taking risks, and thus more confident in herself and her abilities. “I have developed leadership skills at CSG that I know I will carry forward in my life. I am no longer afraid to make my voice heard and to use my other talents to help those around me.”

Lila Schroeder Lila, Class of 2025, has always had a love for learning, and she joined CSG in Form IX because she wanted to be at a school that had the best and brightest teachers. Her experiences here have helped her become a more effective note taker and become better at public speaking and presenting. While at CSG, Lila has also improved her leadership skills, and she is currently Secretary of the Sustainability Club and Head of Coding for the Murphy’s Outlaws FIRST Robotics Team. As Sustainability Club Secretary, Lila helps plan school events, run club meetings, and work with faculty to help foster the club’s mission to make the school a more sustainable organization. As a result, she’s learned how to be a self-starter and initiate projects and activities. This year, she worked with fellow club members to lead a school-wide composting initiative. Her role as Head of Coding for Murphy’s Outlaws has also helped Lila grow as a leader. In that capacity, she has learned how to delegate tasks, balancing efficiency with inclusion. While she is new to the team and still learning much about coding, Lila learned she could leverage her organizational skills to help the Murphy’s Outlaws achieve their goals. “CSG has helped shape me into the person I am today by helping me learn how to take leadership roles.”

Sloane Moneme Because she participated in a day program for 1- and 2-year-olds formerly offered at the PYC, Sloane, Class of 2029, began her CSG experience at a very young age. She and her sister Dylan ’31 joined CSG to take advantage of a robust curriculum so that they could build the foundational skills necessary to reach their goals in school and later in life. Now entering Form VII, Sloane enjoyed a health class she took last academic year, as well as the opportunity to swim in the pool during PE class. She also enjoyed her first year trying track and plans to do it again this school year. Since she started at CSG, Sloane has matured in a variety of ways, becoming more assertive and more thoughtful about her words and actions. She’s learned to move through her world with integrity and be true to herself and others. Sloane values the supportive, inclusive environment she has found at CSG and is grateful that she and her peers are able to accept each other for who they are. “We all have a really close connection, which makes us a great school.” With such exemplary fifth and first generation students enrolled, the strength and grace of our student body is palpable with much hope and anticipation for the future. And one thing is for certain—whether she’s exploring in the PYC or using her voice in Form XII, our CSG unicorns can attest to our School being a magical, invigorating learning environment and community.

125TH ANNIVERSARY

Celebrating our History Convocation August 25, 2023 The school year formally began with a Convocation service. This tradition began in 1966 and is held on the first Friday of the school year. The entire school community was invited to join the students in welcoming a new year and listened to messages from the Head of School and Student Council Presidents. In formal Assembly style, complete with flags, service, and official uniforms, the opening exercises are an inspiring and distinctive tradition.

Founders’ Day Weekend September 22-23, 2023 On September 22, 1898, Mary Bole Scott and Florence Kelley established Columbus School for Girls, the first all-girl college preparatory school in Franklin County. To celebrate 125 years of academic excellence at CSG, we commemorated our Founders’ Day with a Founders’ Day reception, a tailgate, and homecoming. On September 22, 2023, CSG students recognized our beloved School’s history with Big Sis/Lil Sis festivities during the school day. That evening, CSG parents, alumnae, and friends were invited to campus for the first-ever Founders’ Day reception. The following morning on September 23, CSG hosted a homecoming tailgate at Kirk Campus for all of our community members to come together and rally behind our fall sports teams. That night, Upper School students enjoyed CSG’s inaugural homecoming celebration.

Making New Memories Thanksgiving Program November 21, 2023 The Thanksgiving program stands as a testament to a century of tradition. A favorite program of many, this service celebrates the ever-changing expressions of thanks behind this American holiday. Songs that have endured for more than 100 years provide the framework around which unique contributions from students and faculty create a memorable program for the entire school. Many alumnae look forward to a reunion with friends at the program. The Thanksgiving program culminates with selections from CSG musicians. The choirs have been joined by the band and orchestra to present music that, for many, encompasses the essence of Thanksgiving and sets the tone for the upcoming holiday season. A highlight of the program each year is the presentation of “Over the River and Through the Woods” by the students from the Program for Young Children. This unpredictable and irresistible rendition by the youngest members of the CSG community is usually rewarded with a standing ovation from audience members and their schoolmates.

Holiday Dinner December 14, 2023 In the earliest days of the school, the two founding headmistresses, Mary Bole Scott and Florence Kelley, gave a Christmas party for the Junior and Senior girls. In 1906, Bryden Hall was the scene of the first Christmas party hosted by headmistresses Alice Gladden and Grace Latimer Jones for the Upper School students, faculty members, and many returning alumnae. Over the years, the dinner has become a major event held in honor of the seniors. As the Holiday Dinner evolved from its simple beginning, Trustees and parents of seniors were invited to join in the formal occasion. The evening includes the class flags, an address by a faculty member (whose identity is kept secret until that evening), a program by members of the graduating class, and candelabras that have been used at every Holiday Dinner. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Program January 12, 2024 In 1997, students initiated the first Martin Luther King, Jr. Program to honor and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s work and legacy. Each year, students, parents, alums, faculty and staff, and friends gather to observe the holiday. Today, the program is led by the Beauty of African American Culture Club, which organizes and presents the assembly to our community.

Scholarship Walk April 19, 2024 Each year since 1972, the school has held a Scholarship Walk to support CSG’s tuition assistance program. While the location and distance walked may have changed over the years, the commitment remains to ensure that every girl who could flourish and thrive at CSG has the opportunity to do so. Support of the CSG Scholarship Walk allows us to remain committed to continuing to foster a vibrant school community and ensure that a CSG education is accessible to families all over central Ohio.

Alumnae Weekend April 26-27, 2024 In 1928, Eleanor Kurtz Beaton, Class of 1899, and Marion Smith Stoneman, Class of 1915, started the CSG Alumnae Association. One of CSG’s most enduring traditions was initiated by these women in 1929 with the creation of the Alumnae Supper. In about 1980, the supper was changed to a brunch, which is now held during Alumnae Weekend annually at the end of April. A highlight of Alumnae Weekend is the presentation of the Alumna of the Year Award, given to an alum whose contributions to her community or area of endeavor demonstrate the value of a CSG education and, coupled with her loyalty to the school, distinguish her as a true role model to the newest alumnae.

125th Jubilee Celebration April 27, 2024 Founded by Nancy Jeffrey and Ann Pizzuti in 1992, Jubilee was an event that offered community festivities centered around a unique shopping experience from national and international vendors, which benefitted CSG’s tuition assistance program. Jubilee was an annual event for over 20 years, and this year we plan to bring back the spirit of Jubilee in the form of a community celebration. This adults-only night of fun will pay tribute to our 125 years of history and will feature food, drinks, and a live auction.

Commencement June 3, 2024 The first school graduation in 1899 was the culmination of the founders’ dreams. Two girls received diplomas in a ceremony conducted in the schoolhouse on East Town Street. Dressed in white frocks and carrying field daisies, the graduates set the pattern for future celebrations. The daisies were replaced by red roses in 1905, but the long white gowns and many of the elements that contributed to the pomp and circumstance have remained. Faculty, processing in order of seniority and adorned with hoods appropriate to their advanced degrees, have always participated in the event. After the School was incorporated in 1927, the Chair of the Board of Trustees joined the ceremonies and since that time has presented the graduates with their diplomas. In 1996, Commencement returned to its original location, the school campus. Today, the Seniors, in white and carrying red roses, process to William Walton’s Orb and Sceptre. They receive their diplomas on the stately portico facing Broad Street. Form VI Little Sisters honor their Big Sisters as they form a line for the recessional and hold a laurel garland on either side of the aisle.

Leaving a Lasting Legacy As CSG celebrates its 125th anniversary, we reflect on the past and think about our future.

If you’ve already included CSG in your estate plans, please let us know so that we can welcome you into the Golden Unicorn Society and adequately and appropriately thank you!

Our mission since the beginning has been to empower girls to discover their distinct potential as learners and leaders. We are grateful to have had many generous and visionary members of our community throughout our long history who have demonstrated their commitment to our mission through philanthropy. One of the most meaningful ways you can help CSG prepare for its future is by making a planned gift. A planned gift refers to a charitable contribution that is arranged in advance, typically as part of an individual’s estate planning or financial strategy. It involves designating a portion of one’s assets or estate to be donated to a nonprofit organization or charitable cause upon the donor’s death or at a future date. Planned gifts are often made through various financial instruments, such as wills, trusts, life insurance policies, charitable gift annuities, or charitable remainder trusts. These gifts allow individuals to leave a lasting legacy and provide ongoing support to organizations or causes they care about, even after their lifetime. We honor individuals who make a planned gift by inviting them to participate in the Golden Unicorn Society. There is no minimum amount or percentage of estate that qualifies you for membership in the Golden Unicorn Society—only your desire to make a planned gift by signing a Golden Unicorn Society planned gift agreement. New and existing plans qualify. Joining the Golden Unicorn Society is as simple as putting CSG in your estate plans and letting us know you’ve done so. Talk to your financial planner today about these mutually beneficial deferred giving options. Members of the Golden Unicorn Society are among our most devoted supporters and are remembered in perpetuity for their commitment to CSG. As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we hope you will consider joining the Golden Unicorn Society by making a planned gift. CSG’s EIN: 31-43799452

Regional alumnae events

Alumnae in Northeast Ohio had the opportunity to connect with one another and In May, Nancy Lee ’85 hosted a CSG alumnae event in New York City. Thirty CSG alums gathered to meet and mingle with one another and with Head of School Camille Seals (pictured above addressing the group). It was a fantastic evening of friendship and fun!

Dear Columbus School for Girls community, On behalf of our students and School, we would like to extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation for your generous support of our Annual Fund and the Power & Promise campaign. Your unwavering commitment and dedication have made a significant impact on CSG’s ability to empower girls to discover their distinct potential as learners and leaders and create a brighter, bolder future for our students and School. Now that we have wrapped up the campaign, it is with our most heartfelt gratitude that we share all that you have made possible. Through the power of philanthropy and the collective action of our CSG community, we have raised more than $1.5 million for the Annual Fund, the financial foundation of CSG, and over $17 million to support our students through Power & Promise. Your contributions to the Annual Fund allowed us to respond to emerging needs, seize opportunities, and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of our world. From refurbishing the Lower School and PYC library to fixing the roof of the Kirk Campus tennis courts, your support of the Annual Fund and commitment to empowering our young learners and leaders, year after year, has been nothing short of inspiring. The Power & Promise campaign has enabled us to achieve unprecedented milestones and launch transformative initiatives that would have been otherwise impossible. Through your campaign support, we invested deeply in our people and programs while ensuring that the endowment grows and secures CSG’s financial stability for generations to come. From increasing faculty compensation and professional development to launching the Center for Girls’ & Young Women’s Leadership and the Center for Global Studies & Citizenship to installing a new turf field, your financial support has truly made CSG the premier institution for girls and young women in Central Ohio. Please accept our deepest appreciation for your generosity, kindness, and belief in our mission, our School, and, most importantly, our students. Your support has not only transformed lives, but has also served as a beacon of hope and possibility for all that our community can do together through the power of philanthropy. With heartfelt gratitude,

Elizabeth Kessler ’86 Chair of the Board of Trustees
