This is a collaborative zine made by the students, faculty, and families of the Program for Young Children to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child.
We made this zine: To demonstrate support for the rights of girls everywhere and understanding of the various and complex issues affecting their lives as girls; To show the diversity among girls and their experiences; To make space for girls to reflect on themselves, their power, and those who have come before them; To inspire conversations between girls and their families; To take action together by making our own media; And to preserve this internationally-recognized day.
