The world renowned gardens of Tresco abound with flora from all over the globe and were conceived in the 1830s by a man of vision, Augustus John Smith. Today the island thrives as a private estate welcoming visitors from all the points of the compass. In fact from all the parts of the world that the gardens plants originate.
The island of Bryher can be described as an island of two halves. The soft beautiful beaches of Green Bay and Rushy Bay are contrasted by the rugged granite outcrops of Shipman Head and Hell Bay from where the next stop is America.
With beautiful long sandy beaches and an historic daymark, St Martin’s stands out as the most north easterly of the five inhabited islands. The uninhabited Eastern Isles lie to the south and offer the visitor a fascinating insight to the marine wildlife that abounds on Scilly
St Agnes is the most South Westerly inhabited island in the UK... it is also one of the most beautiful parts of the country. When you sit at Covean with the tide in and the sun shining you could believe you were in the Caribbean.
