The other day, I caught a rainbow. And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy.
I put it in a jar and poked little holes into the lid so it could breathe.
At first, it was restless, so I waited until it calmed down. Eventually, it curled up against the glass and stopped moving.
I became a bit worried.
I thought it might be thirsty,
so I offered it some rainwater to drink. I thought it might be hungry,
so I gave it a bowl of colorful cereal.
The rainbow gulped it all down. Then, it smiled. It seemed to like me.
I showed it to my family and they were quite impressed. A domesticated rainbow is very rare, you know. The little rainbow was beaming with pride. It had never received so many compliments before.
That night, my rainbow slept next to me.
And I had the sweetest dreams.
