Upsidedown It is true: the world is turning head over heels. No way to find new echoes of passionate artists introducing emotions as plain as they are. And just on the way, throughout chaos and confusion, with our pending heads, we discovered this poetry called L'alĂŹ. When the sedimented past is only pure inspiration that allows us to watch things with the proper focus - immersively underlying undeniable beauty narrated by the hands of a magician in her own fantastical world. “ Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as she went down to look about her and to wonder what was going to happen next.

Marie’s adventures

“She jumped up on to her feet in a moment: she looked up, but it was all dark overhead; before her was another long passage.

“She came upon a low curtain she had not noticed before, and behind it was a little door about fifteen inches high.

“Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late! (when she thought it over afterwards, it occurred to her that she ought to have wondered at this, but at the time it all seemed quite natural).

“She was up to her chin in salt water. Her first idea was that she had somehow fallen into the sea, `and in that case I can go back by railway,' she said to herself.

“'He took me for his housemaid,' she said to herself as she ran. `How surprised he'll be when he finds out who I am! But I'd better take him his fan and gloves - that is, if I can find them.

“`Well, I'd hardly finished the first verse,' said the Hatter, `when the Queen jumped up and bawled out, "He's murdering the time! Off with his head!

“He sat back. A sense of complete helplessness had descended upon him. To begin with, he did not know with any certainty that this was 1984.

Dave 1984

ng at recurred so often in his rtain whether or not he had seen it

“Suddenly he was standing on short springy turf, on a summer evening when the slanting rays of the sun gilded the ground.

“He was lying on something that fe was higher off the ground and that that he could not move.

elt like a camp bed, except that it he was fixed down in some way so

“The little man sat down, quite at his ease, and yet still with a servant-like air, the air of a valet enjoying a privilege.

“There was no telescreen, but there must be hidden microphones: besides, they could be seen. It did not matter, nothing mattered.

Laura’s lover “The war had brought the roof down over her head. And she had realised that one must live and learn.”

“Out of her disconnection, a restlessness was taking possession of her like madness.

“His lovemaking was earthy and gritty, and no wonder, as he'd missplaced his dibber earlier that day, and had to use the only suitable piece of equipment he'd had to hand in the greenhouse at the time.

“We want to make the world dance to our tune, that's all. But the world's got a tune of its own, much older than ours.

“`It was for one minute that I saw him, but the hair stood upon my head like quills. Sir, if that was my master, why had he a mask upon his face?

“'With every day, and from both sides of my intelligence, the moral and the intellectual, I thus drew steadily nearer to the truth, by whose partial discovery I have been doomed to such a dreadful shipwreck: that man is not truly one, but truly two

“'My fears incline to the same point. Evil, I fear, founded--evil was sure to come--of that connection.

“'Oh,' she went on, 'I love you! I love you so that I could not live without you, do you see? There are times when I long to see you again, when I am torn by all the anger of love.'

“`She became herself, as it were, an actual part of these imaginings, and realised the love-dream of her youth as she saw herself in this type of amorous women whom she had so envied!
