2021 Annual Award Recipients Anne Brahm Levy, Community Outreach Program for the Deaf Anne Levy has dedicated her life to supporting the deaf community in Southern Arizona through her work at Community Outreach Program for the Deaf (COPD). Anne worked providing counseling services and services coordination for years and became the Executive Director for Deaf and Residential Services (DRS) in 1999.

Kyle Lininger, Intermountain Centers for Human Development Kyle Lininger is the Director of Integrated Care and DD/ID Services for Intermountain Centers for Human Development. He is the Director of Behavior Consultation Services in Northern Arizona. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and holds a master’s degree in public administration.

Dr. Marla Franco, University of Arizona Dr. Franco serves as the Assistant Vice Provost for Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Initiatives at the University of Arizona, having led the UA in becoming federally recognized as an HSI in 2018. She is the founder of the AZ HSI Consortium, aimed at fostering partnerships and leveraging resources across all 16 HSIs in Arizona, and co-founder of the STEM in HSI Working Group, aimed at bringing greater equity in STEM.

Betty Stauffer, Literacy Connects Betty helped found Literacy Connects in 2011, and served as Executive Director until January 2021. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers of Tucson. Literacy Connects was formed when five literacy organizations merged to create one innovative organization. The mission of Literacy Connects is to open a world of possibilities to people of all ages through literacy and creative arts programs.
