THE ‘EL TALLER’ CONCEPT El Taller (‘The Workshop’) was founded in 2003, the concept behind it being to come up with a totally novel way of selling jewellery. The creativity of our customers is an important part of our business. At El Taller, we provide them with beads and the most innovative and exclusive metal findings so that they can design their own accessories, from necklaces to bracelets, earrings, key-rings… This concept allows us to target and meets the needs of a large consumer group. The jewellery industry is currently experiencing strong growth, positioning itself as one of the most innovative of all highprofitability sectors. El Taller is a leader in the sale of beadwork in Spain, with 35 sales outlets, all of them in prime locations across the country.

THE PRODUCT The products sold in our stores are the key to El Taller’s success. What sets us apart from the rest is the quality and variety of our beads and metal accessories, which allow the creation of even the most sophisticated designs. We provide the finest beads made from: • • • • •

Stores can be located either in shopping centres or at street level. The surface required to allow the activities to be carried out in the premises is of about 25 m2 for smaller shops and 40 m2 for larger ones. It is essential to attend the training course taught in some of our shops. Our initial training plan consists of two parts: •

A theoretical part: about our products, how it all works, the sector, the customer base.

A practical part: on sales, how to place orders, introduce products, close tills, carry out inventories and sales techniques.

At El Taller, what we are looking for are people with an entrepreneurial spirit, creative, dynamic, with the necessary skill and motivation to manage a differential retail business. This is why we need our franchisees to have sound business skills in terms of dealing with customers and a minimum amount of experience in sales or customer care.

Arrange an interview: have a meeting and visit the facilities to gain an objective perspective.

Find a suitable location for the premises (if you haven’t already done so).

Sign the preliminary franchise agreement: this allows you to reserve the area until all of the contract signature requirements are met.

Decide which legal form to adopt: SA, SL, Independent…

THE WORKSHOP El Taller is a different store concept with a fresh and innovative image. A team of professionals is at hand to guide our customers in their choice of purchase and design, not to mention during practical workshops where they can show them anything, from how to fit a closure on their item to how to design the most original, sophisticated piece or create an exclusive design. Our collections are designed to be intercombined and worn in various situations of everyday life.
